"What do you think they'd do if I just told everyone about us at a concert?" Dan mumbled as he stared at the TV screen a couple feet away from the couch that we were snuggling on. It had been about a week or two since the interview and not much had happened. Everyone had hoped that we won but we didn't want to test that. "What if I just announced it into the microphone? They wouldn't be able to take it back or hide it then."

"You.. You're joking right?" I turned to look at him, a tad bit shocked. I knew that this whole 'hiding our relationship' thing was bothering him, but I didn't think he would think about doing something to get management that pissed off. If he did that, it was game over for them and I was honestly scared of what would happen. "Dan, that wouldn't turn out well at all and we both know it."

"You don't know that," he snapped then stopped to realize how harsh his words sounded. "I.. I'm sorry. We do know what will happen. It's just a stupid idea but I.. I just.."

I raised my eyebrow at him and reached forward to grab the TV remote and pause the show. After doing so, I set the remote back down on the table then looked at him. "You just what?"

"Nevermind, it doesn't matter." Dan turned away from me but I placed my hands on his shoulders and turned him back to look at me. He sighed and started to explain himself, "I'm sick of pretending like we're just friends. I've been pretending like I only liked you as a friend for so long and I finally got the guts to tell you how I feel but it's getting nowhere. We still have to keep acting like there's nothing between us. It's frustrating."

"Like it was one step forward and now it's two steps back?" I asked and Dan nodded slightly, keeping his eyes focused on anything but me. "We'll find a way around all of this, I promise. I know that we will. You want this just as much as I do so nothing will be able to get in between us."

"Yeah, sure," he mumbled and stood up. I stood up as soon as he did but he started to walk away, walking towards the kitchen area of the bus. He suddenly stopped and turned around to face me although he still wouldn't look at me. "Maybe they're right, you know? Maybe this isn't right. If this was meant to be, it wouldn't be this hard... at least I think so."

"That's not true. Where the hell did that idea come from?" I walked over to him and pulled him into a hug, leaning my head down to whisper in his ear. "They're going to tell us that it's wrong but that doesn't mean that it is. This feels so right and we can't let them ruin something that we have both wanted for what seems like forever all because they don't like it. We just have to get through this tour and then after that, we can finally be ourselves."

Dan pulled away from my arms and finally looked up at me. "Even when the tour is over, we still are practically their puppets. They practically own us and I can't handle it anymore. I've talked to Emma about everything and she agrees with you, but two people saying it's right doesn't mean that it's right."

"Just like how two people saying it's wrong doesn't mean that it's wrong!" I practically shouted at him, immediately feeling bad once I noticed his surprised expression. "I'm sorry.. I.. I just don't want to fight with you. You can't be agreeing with them though, Dan. This is exactly what they wanted to happen and we can't give them the satisfaction of knowing that they won."

"Can't you see that they've already won? We can't do anything without getting yelled at or without them throwing another roadblock in between us." Dan finished walking to the kitchen and opened up a cabinet, looking for something. "Dammit. They forgot to go shopping to get us food. I'm going to go out and get something to eat."

"What do you call the interview then? They just gave up as soon as I said that and walked out." I walked over to him and shut the cabinet, hoping he'd turn away from it and look at me but he didn't. "If we keep doing stuff like that, they'll give up. Remember, there's nine of us counting Grizfolk, Will, and Woody and there's only a couple of them that are trying to prevent us from being a thing."

Dan grabbed his hoodie and wallet from off of the counter and walked around me to get to the door. "We'll talk later."
