CaretakerIt was going as normal as it could be walking around the city. Rain, broken belongings and shards of glass, trash everywhere as well as broken TV.
Mono decided it would be best to rest a moment while it was still raining. He managed to spot a small little stack structure that had a cover up that they could get under, so he took Six's hand and lead them both over to it.
It had trash and left clothes all over the ground beneath the cover up but it was the best thing they had for comfort besides the concrete ground.
Mono and Six sat down in their little shelter, but Mono couldn't help but notice that Six had scratches and marks all over her feet and around her ankles. She had a jacket for protection, yes, but not for her legs.
Mono: Six, are you okay?
Six: Yeah. What makes you ask?
Mono points towards her feet and she begins looking down to see her scratches. She barely responded to this and looked as if it was completely normal and ignored it.
Six: Mono, I'm fine. You worry too much.
Mono: Lemme see it.
Six: What?
Mono: Let me see your injuries. Come over here.
Six didn't like the idea but also knew Mono wouldn't take no as an answer, so she hesitantly began scooching over towards him and extended her legs out towards him.
He was examining how her feet looked, checking the cratches, bruises, and marks. Her feet weren't bleeding but it still caused a sharp pain for her. He was going to lift her feet up to check her heels, but Six winced and made a small squeek of pain as he touched it, and immediately let go.
Mono: You can't keep going with your feet like this. You need bandages.
Six didn't say anything back because she knew he was right, and because anything she would say, Mono wouldn't let her go until she's better.
Mono: I don't have anything on me. I need to head out and find something.
Six: Mono-
Mono: Stay here until I get back, you'll be safe.
Mono began to stand up but got pulled back as Six was holding onto his hand, not wanting him to leave into the storm.
Mono then got down on one knee being right in front of her, placing his other hand atop Six's hand that was holding his, gently holding together.
