Sirens blared through the streets of Wakanda. The warriors raced through the halls, gracefully as always. The atmosphere had a certain gloom to it all of a sudden, nothing like how it felt when they first arrived. Everyone had a serious resting look painted on their faces.

"Pete," Tony came around the corner and into a room within Shuri's lab the teens were being kept in, "can we talk?"

Peter held his head high as he left the room, but as soon as the two arrived in a private area, he collapsed into Tony's chest.

"I-I don't know what to say. This is all my fault. This is all because of me." The young boy began emotionally. Tony wrapped his arms around the boy, caressing his head gently.

"Peter, it's not. This was inevitable. Lars has been an enemy for a while, and I am so sorry you are being put through this." Peter lifted his head from Tony's chest and met his genuine gaze.

"It will be okay; he doesn't stand a chance against us," Tony reassured him. Peter sighed and looked to the ground, shuffling his feet nervously. "Watch out for your friends, okay?"

"Will do. And Tony- please, be careful, I can't lose you too." Peter finished, whipped his eyes gently, and turned towards the lab.

These words were left echoing in Tony's head as he watched the boy walk away. He thought about how he was all Peter had left and what would happen to the damaged boy if something went south during the battle. He felt panic flood into his body; he knew failure wasn't an option.

"Avengers," Steve's voice in his ear broke him out of the spiraling panic, "it's time. Meet in the fields."

The Avengers, the warriors of Wakanda, and even M'Baku and his group showed up. The armies stood and watched as ships began to crash outside the barrier dome. Tony, Steve, Nat, and T'Challa proceeded to the edge of the border. They were met there by Draven Lars and his right hand Oyakina.

"Lars, back down now. This is not worth dying over." Tony spoke firmly, not breaking eye contact.

"You should be asking yourself something, Stark; is this boy really worth dying for?" Lars smirked.

Tony didn't know what it was, but that statement made his blood boil under his skin. Rage blinded him as he turned with a huff and strutted back to the front line. He engaged his suit, getting into position as the armor engulfed him. Thor glanced at Tony with a slightly worried look as the creatures started to attack the borders.

They flooded into the border, burning upon impact as they attempted to claw their way through, mostly dying upon impact.

"It-it looks like they're breaking through. We need to fight before they destroy the whole border." Strange turned to Tony and T'Challa. "Tony?" T'Challa waited for Tony's approval.

"Open the border," Tony stated, his blood continuing to simmer beneath his skin.

"Open sector G16," T'Challa commanded into the coms watch on his wrist.

The fluorescent blue border began to split, only about ten or so feet wide, letting the creatures poor into the fields of Wakanda.

"WAKANDA FOREVER!" T'Challa shouted; his forces echoed him from behind as he ran into the battle.

Tony took a deep breath and shot himself into the air. He began blasting the creatures from above, taking them out one by one, carefully avoiding the friendlies fighting below him.

Lars lifted himself into the air and met with Tony above the action. He trusted himself towards the iron suit, Tony dodging with ease. The purple rays, harnessed from the Power Stone, shot from Lars' hands as his eyes glowed the majestic purple.

The battle below began to get out of hand. The creatures were overtaking the Avengers and their forces one by one, outnumbering them by the thousands.

Back in the lab, Peter knew something bad was happening, he could feel it. The pit in his stomach grew as he watched more warriors be rushed through the lab and into the medbay.

"I-I have to go." He stuttered as he pushed Ned and MJ aside and marched towards the door.

"Peter," MJ grabbed his wrist before he was out the door. She stared deep into his soft, chocolate brown eyes. "be safe." She then pulled him close to her. Their lips met gently, and they fell into a soft, passionate kiss. The boy wrapped his arms around her waist softly and pulled her closer to his chest.

They broke apart as MJ's gaze fell straight towards her feet. Peter took her chin on his finger and lifted her head to meet his eyes. "I have someone to come back to." He smiled at her and winked, and he released her from his grasp and turned out the door.

Her head was spinning as she watched him fade into the masses of soldiers. She felt Ned's kind hand on her shoulder that lead her back into their safe room.

Peter pushed his way through the crowded halls to make his way out onto the fields, his head still in the clouds after the moment he had just shared with the girl he had been in love with for as long as he could remember.

'Snap out of it, Peter, you have to fight.' he commanded himself as he finally found the light of day. The sky was a faded grey, and the sounds of battle filled the air.

He lifted himself into the air, suspending himself from the webs attached to nearby buildings and trees. The new suit gracefully took down any creatures that began to attack him. The battle was looking up for The Avengers.

That didn't last long; flying drones, ships, new enemies made their way through the border. In the distance, Peter saw Sam fall from the sky, shot down by multiple drones that attacked him.

He saw Nat and Thor struggling to fight off a hoard of creatures in glowing purple armor; they appeared stronger than the rest.  Steve was hurrying to help Bucky, who found himself trying to take down another swarm of creatures that had just entered the border.

Then, he spotted Wanda and Oyakina battling for their lives. Oyakina seemed to match her power and put up a good fight, knocking Wanda hard into the hard earth below. She was gasping for air as Oyakina repeatedly blasted her, deeper and deeper into the ground, a large hole began to form with the struggling woman at the center.

He watched as Wanda faded from consciousness.

Peter quickly swung to her side, surprising Oyakina and knocking her off her feet. She sat up with a scoff and accelerated away to fight Thor, who had blasted her way.

"Wanda! Wanda, can you hear me?" Peter shouted over the loud noises around. He gently picked her up and rested her head on his lap. "Wanda?" He shook her in an attempt to wake her up.

"Please don't go," he pleaded.
