A Musical?
Jiro smiled happily.
"Could you possibly give us a bit more detail, this could mean a lot of things." Ojiro asked, hand on his chin in thought.
"Of course!" Nova said brightly. "Basically, there's a man who came to Izu, who is a soothsayer and a fortune teller in this universe. This is before musicals existed, there were only plays, which means that quirks also did not exist. The man comes to him and asks what he should do for his play and Izuku tells him to create the first musical."
"So you're telling me, that in this universe, Midoriya is the reason behind the first musical?!" Jiro said loudly with stars in her eyes.
"Yep! It's also, coincidentally, a musical universe!" She said, starting the universe.
"What the hell are musicals?" A man asks Izuku. "It appears to be a play where the dialogue stops and the plot is conveyed through song!" "Through song?" "Yes!" "Wait so and actor is saying his lines and then out of no where he just starts singing?" The man said, looking confused and astonished. "Yes!" Izuku responded happily, not seeming to notice the man's demeanor. "Well that is the" stupidest thing that I have ever heard. He said as he broke out into song.
"That's pretty contradictory my dude." Denki said.
"Wow, you actually know that word?" Bakugo asked.
Denki pouted while Sero giggled and patted his head.
You're doing a play, got something to say so you sing it? It's absurd! Who on esrth is going to sit there while an actor breaks into song? And what possible thought could the audience think other then "this is horribly wrong"? "Remarkably, they won't think that!" Izuku said, popping up behind the guy.
Midnight chuckled. "Yeah, it seems so normal to us that musicals sell out theaters so quickly but back then it would seem like a miracle if anyone even liked it. After all it sounds absurd to them."
"Seriously? Why not?" The guy asked in confusion, turning to Izuku. "Because...it's...a" musical! A musical! And nothing's as amazing as a musical! He sang happily.
"This is great" Shinso commented.
"I definitely agree." Shoji piped in.
With song and dance and sweet romance! And happy endings happening by happenstance!
"Aye, that sounds cool!" Sero called out.
Bright lights! As he says this lights shine onto him. Stage fights! He puts his fists up and throws a punch to no one. And a dazzling chorus! The light around him seemed to sparkle at his words.
"What beautiful sparkles!" Aoyama called out, shining brightly.
You wanna be great? Then you gotta create a musical! "I don't know. I find it hard to believe that people will actually pay to see something like this." Izuku looks disheartened but then perks up soon after. Let's just say it's a Saturday night and you wanna go out on the town! Got a lady to flatter who might give it up if you don't let her down! You could go see a tragedy, but that wouldn't be very fun. Or a play from Greek Mythology, see a mother have sex with her son. Izuku wrinkled his nose at the thought as a random voice commented "Ew."
The theater looked repulsed at the thought and some squirmed in their seats uncomfortably.
"Mr. Aizawa, please tell me that we're never going to see a Greek mythology play" Hagakure asked desperately.
