My Thoughts: I liked the plot idea, the characters of course, and I think it's a good short read. however, for me, it was lacking something after I put the plot into perspective. I think the author downplayed Dracos torment over the last years along with his stint in Azkaban by tying it all up and making him into an alcoholic. yes, that is a perfectly adequate response to what someone is going through, but I could not seem to get emotionally connected to him. I feel like the author just missed it with the emotional appeal of Draco's character arc. However, I do like what she did with Hermione. Hermione had many good qualities in this story and I felt that the role she played in dracos rehabilitation was accurate. She had some pretty good dialogue, and I'd like to say that her actions in this fic were overall in character. *aside from when she acted as if her whole world revolved around her having a romantic relationship with someone to fit into her friend group. she literally thought her life was over for not having a boyfriend at 19. major wtf moment* I would have loved to explore her trauma a bit more rather than gloss over it, but I get that this wasn't that type of story and at least to me was meant to be light-hearted. A possible miss for readers: no smut... I know some of yall read purely for that, so maybe skip this if you're looking for that :(
Rec or Wreck: I recommend reading this if you are into bad boy cinnamon puff on the inside struggling to deal with his inner demons and finds solace in an unlikely ally/future lover. But for me its a wreck
