*Y/N'S POV*
Thor bowed his head to me and stared at the ground. I couldn't see his face.
"Where is Loki? Why isn't he with you?" I froze. Unable to possibly move, terrified of the next words that came from his mouth.
"Our father passed. When he did, we found out he had sealed our sister in a prison many years before. Upon his death, she was released. She... came for revenge. She captured Loki. I eventually slayed her." He still hadn't looked up at me.
"Thor... Where is Loki? Did you get him?"
He finally looked up at me before speaking again. I saw he was missing an eye and had been crying. "Loki is dead."
I screamed and fell to the ground crying, Sam and Tony came rushing in. "What happened?" They looked between Thor and I. "What the fuck happened to your eye, Thor?" Tony exclaimed. He rushed over to me and picked me up, placing me on the couch as I tried to pull myself together enough for the full story.
Thor and explains the whole situation. He got to the part about Loki and stopped speaking. I realized he never mentioned his body. Loki is God of Mischeif, if he didn't see a body... then maybe... "Thor. Did you see his body?" Thor just looked at me and didn't respond. "Thor. Did you see Loki's body or not?"
"Yes. I buried him next to our mother..." Thor looking down again. I nodded, he would have wanted that. I tried to stand up and get off the couch but everything went black. I fainted, head hitting the table on my way down.
I was in and out, hearing bits of conversation.
"Loki is dead?" Bruce. Good, Bruce. A bunch of mumbling I couldn't understand. "Don't worry, Sam. I got her."
I tried my best to speak. I let out barely a whisper. "Pregnant."
"Y/N? Did you say something?" Bruce leaned into me.
"I'm pregnant."
I heard a voice that had been silent until now. "Did she just say pregnant?" Bucky spoke. I tried to turn to look at him but everything went black again.
*BUCKY'S POV*
I heard a scream while I was in the shower. I quickly jumped out, wrapping a towel around me, and ran towards it. I saw Y/N in Tony's arms crying and Thor standing there looking down. I saw that he had a patch over his eye. He began to talk, talking about his sister, and Loki... That's why she's crying. Loki is dead. I looked at her as she stood up on the couch. She asked about his body, clinging to the last bit of hope she had left and I felt my heart break for her. I wish I could take the pain away, just grab her and take her away from everything here. Save her.
She stood up to get off the couch and fainted, hitting the table on her way down. There was a large amount of yelling as I grabbed her in my arms and started to carry her to Bruce's lab. We filled him in on what happened. As I put her on a table, he asked "Loki is dead?"
"Yes. She did not react well. She hit a table on the way down. She's bleeding a lot." Sam answered.
"Head wounds bleed a lot, I'll take a look. Don't worry, Sam. I got her." Bruce moved towards her and I backed away. We heard a whisper, like she was trying to talk. "Y/N? Did you say something?" Bruce leaned closer to her.
"I'm pregnant."
I froze. "Did she just say pregnant?" She turned her head almost like she was looking for me, and then she was out again. I looked at Bruce, "Help her."
Tony grabbed my shoulder, "Give him some room. Let's go wait over there." He pointed at some chairs and I sat there, staring at Y/N. Thinking about what all just happened. Loki is gone. And she's... pregnant. Presumably with his baby, I wasn't sure exactly what their situation was now but I hadn't seen her with anyone else, other than Sam. So that was unlikely.
Sam had been pacing back and forth a few feet away from Bruce and Y/N. Tony called him over and he came and sat next to me. "I'm freaking out, man. What the hell happened today?"
"You didn't know?" I asked him. He shook his head and put his head in his hands. She hadn't even told Sam. What does that mean?
"And now Loki is gone." He muttered into his hands. "She'll be alone. And the baby-"
Tony stood up. "Excuse me, what part of any of this makes you say she'll be alone? She has us. We're supposed to be her family. And she hid this from us. She needs us more than ever. Pull yourselves together. Both of you." He walked out, door slamming behind him.
"He's right, you know." Sam sat up straight. "I've been so focused on our missions lately, I've just been letting her do her own thing. I thought she was okay, with Loki. I thought everything was fine. I didn't realize she would hide something like this from me."
"Whatever she needs now, we'll do." Sam turned to look at me with a confused look. "I know I haven't been... around for her. It wasn't easy for me staying away. But like you, I thought she was happy... I didn't want to ruin anything. I'm sure she doesn't... feel for me anymore. But out of respect for Loki, I can put my feelings aside and help with the baby. Tony is right. We're family. I owe her."
Sam nodded and we sat in silence until Bruce came over to us. "She'll be okay. It looks like she didn't hit her head too hard, and the fainting seems to be from not eating. She was awake. She admitted to not remembering the last time she ate, since she was so worried about Loki." His voice cracked at the end of that sentence. "She's resting now. And asked to be left alone for the night." We nodded and walked out.
