Today is my first day in NYU and I'm so excited. I have always loved school, I guess it was just an escape from home, so I can't even explain how fast I joined as many classes as I could. As I was signing up I saw that one class in particular was filled with boys- Russian. I found that weird because most of the boys that I have met so far don't seem like the academic type. I was curious so I asked my roommate Wanda about it.
"Hey Wands, do you know why so many boys have signed up for Russian"
"Oh, that's cuz of the teacher. Professor Romanoff"
"What's so special about her"
"Well she's notoriously known here to be the hottest teacher"
"Do you have a picture"
"Yeah"
She then shows me a picture that she said someone took in class.

"Oh, wow. I'm mean they aren't wrong"
"Yeah. Every boy is in that class to gawk at her. No one really learns anything"

I was delighted to see your enthusiasm and excitement on your application and let me tell you, your skill set is already much more advanced than I have seen in my class in a long time. Tuesday is the only day where I have a class for first period and I'm going to set an alarm because I'll be late otherwise. I set an alarm for 8:00 so it gives me enough time to wake up properly and get ready before I head out. It was already 11pm and I wanted to make sure I wasn't tired for tomorrow so I went to bed.
8:50 am
I wake up because the sun was blinding me. I then go and check what time it is on my phone and it turns out it's dead so that meant my alarm didn't go off. I rush to check the clock that we have in our bedroom and it's 8:50. Shit. I don't have time to get showered and my hair done all nice and get there on time. So I quickly get dressed and spray some perfume on before running out to the other side of campus where the class was.

I get there 10 minutes later and I burst into the classroom.
"I'm so sorry I'm late Professor"
"Yes, well sit down and you can catch up"
Of course the only seat left is the one right next to her desk. I get my stuff out and write down what's on the board.

This was actually quite easy for me because today we just learned how to say our names and our favourite colours. We then finish the class.
"Y/N can you stay behind please" She calls out.
Oh god. I'm gonna get kicked out on my first day for being late. This is bad.
I sit down and as everyone leaves she just stares me. It's been about a minute and I break the silence.
"Listen, I'm so very sorry for being late Professor I jus-
"Don't worry about that for the minute. Why did you want to learn Russian" she interrupts me
"Because I want to expand my knowledge of the language" I explain.
"Expand?"
"Yeah, my Dad was Russian and he used to teach me a bit when I was younger"
"Ohh ok"
We just sit in the silence we were in before and the looks were being exchanged once more.
"Только убедитесь, что в следующий раз не опоздаете. Теперь можешь идти, принцесса (Just make sure you don't be late next time. You can go now, princess)" She says.
I couldn't help but blush at the name.
"Thank you Professor" I say before leaving the class.
