You left me! prt 2 (NR)

Previously:

I was on my way to Fury's office because I had just gotten a mission. A family was murdered by HYDRA and they had a daughter who escaped and ran here. My mission was to make her feel safe and give her a home.

I walk in and I see Fury and opposite him was a familiar face.

"Ilona?!"

"Yup, you don't have to act so surprised about it" She replied.

"Are you okay"

"Why should you care, you left me, remember"

"Yes but-"

"I don't want her to look after me. Can I please have someone else? Anyone else! Even Clint" She asked Fury.

"I'm sorry Ilona but Agent Romanoff is the only agent available to do so at the minute. I'm aware of your situation so, if you stay with Agent Romanoff for a week and show us that you are responsible, then you can stay here without her supervision" He answered.

I could see her hesitate to answer but only for a second.

"Yes that's fine"

"Great! So Agent Romanoff will show you around and will show you to your room after. That's all"

We then both left.

"Hey listen Ilona. I'm really sorry about what happened to your parents, I know you were really close"

She just hummed in response.

"Did you want to talk about what happened"

"Not with you"

"Okay, um. What about with Clint" I saw her start to listen more. "I know you know each other somehow and he's a really good listener. Watcha think"

"Sure. I'll talk to Clint and only Clint"

5 hours later

I had just finished showing Ilona around and she's in her room currently, so I decided I'm gonna talk to Clint and ask him if he would talk to her.

"Hey Clint"

"Hey Nat, what's up? I've heard about Ilona being here"

"Yeah about that. She needs someone to talk to, and she wont talk to me, so will you talk to her? Just to see if she's okay with everything that's going on with her"

"Of course I will"

"Oh yeah, there's something else. I forgot to ask you this when she told me but Ilona said that you used to check up on her, did you know she was my daughter"

"Yeah. As soon as I saw her and I found out how old she was, I know she was immediately. She looks a lot like you y'know"

"Yeah I do. She also said you told her a lot about me"

"Yeah I did. I told her about my best friend who is such a badass and she would not stop stop asking about you. Whenever I would go round, she would always ask me to bring you with me next time. I would always say that you were on a mission, but she never stopped asking"

"She wanted to know about me" I was astonished.

"Yeah! She basically idolised you. But ever since you went to see her she hadn't asked anything about you or even spoke of you"

" Oh, well, thanks for doing this. I better go"

I then left and went to my bedroom. The thought her idolising me to not being able to talk about me was heart-wrenching. I needed to make things smooth between us. At this point, I don't care if she doesn't want to be my daughter. I just need to make sure she is okay.

Ilona's POV

I've been in this godforsaken place for a day now, and currently I'm on my way to Clint. I've been told I need to speak with him because 'apparently' I need to speak with someone about what's going on with me. I get there and he lets me in. I sit down on a sofa and he starts asking me questions.

"Hey Ilona, how are you with what's happened"

"With what? Me finding my biological mum and her turning out to be Natasha freaking Romanoff, my parents dying or me being stuck in this place with the person who decided she didn't want me before she even got the chance to name me"

"Uh, well, all of it I guess"

"Listen, Clint, I know you're only doing what you're being told to do, but I don't need help. I'm doing okay"

"You sure about that, cuz you're crying"

I stand up and look in the mirror. I was crying. I quickly wiped my tears off and sat back down.

"I-I'm fine"

He stared at me.

"Ugh, fine! I'm not okay! I'm terrible. I found out that my Mum was really this person that I wanted to meet for such a long time and then both of my parents die due to HYDRA coming after me"

He looked down.

"You didn't think I'd find out? Oh please, ever since that day we met when you saved me from HYDRA I knew that they were after me. And now my parents are dead because of me! And now I'm stuck with someone who doesn't want me" I started crying and he came over and gave me a hug.

"I can't even imagine how you're feeling right now. Now that you're here at SHIELD, HYDRA wont come after you anymore. And about Natasha, she loves you. She always has. She was just not prepared to look after a child. And I know that's not your fault. She's just trying to be there for you now that she's sorted her life out and is in a good place"

"You mean she did love me"

"No. She does love you. And she wants what's best for you. All she's trying to do is be someone who you can talk to. Doesn't matter if you don't want her as a Mum or not"

"All I want is for someone to love me"

"And she'll do that. Don't worry"
