we arrived at the cinema hall with our tickets waiting for our popcorn to get ready
-"do you usually eat just popcorn?" he asked -"I buy a pack of red licorice sometimes!" -"ah I agree these are really good" -"yes! too bad this cinema doesn't sell them"
just as I finished my scentence, the cashier gave us our salted popcorn box and we handed him the money.
we made our way to the cinema hall planning to watch "Malificent 2" since we're both Disney Movies enthusiasts
Bomin suddenly left our hands and left me all alone in the hall and disappeared from my sight
just.. what is he up to..
I sat in the middle and saved a place for Bomin beside me and saw the hall getting filled slowly with kids and their parents and some young highschoolers and few couples
not long after, Bomin came panting and slumped at the seat beside me
-"where'd you go?" I asked -"I was at a supermarket nearby" he said still trying to catch his breath, he must've ran all the way here
"I got you red licorice" he said raising 2 packs of Twizzlers
this was the sweetest thing someone ever did to me
"oh my god... you didn't have to.... Thankyou thankyou thankyou!"
he just pinched my cheeks and sat back straight munching on the popcorn between us
the movie finally started and we could hear some silent excited cheerings, and we were one of them
just barely 5 minutes into the movie, a middle aged woman came up to us
-"hello... sorry for disturbing your date... but I have something very urgent to attend to... may I leave my son with you guys?" she was clearly anxious in a rush -"uh yes sure! no problem" I replied -"Thankyou so much! I'll be back by the time the movie ends!" and she quickly exited the movie hall
The little boy sat beside me and he looked very shy
-"hi there! I'm Bomin and this is Nara" Bomin smiled sweetly at the boy -"I'm moonjae" the boy looked down shyly -"moonjae do you want some popcorn" i offered. he nodded hesitantly and started munching
the whole movie Bomin kept taking care of him and making sure if he needed anything
he'll be a great parent one day. his future wife must be lucky
the movie ended and we started exiting the hall one by one
Moonjae clutched on my finger with his tiny hand and on Bomin's finger with his other hand
and the 3 of us walked outside with Moonjae in the middle waiting for his mom to arrive
we spent that time chatting with the sweet boy and he was surprisingly clingy and he loved Bomin so much
not long after, his mom came rushing towards us and gave her son a huge hug
she kept thanking us nonstop for taking care of her son while she had to rush to the hospital to visit a relative
I've always had a negative idea of having kids, but Moonjae kinda changed my perspective
we waved moonjae and his mom goodbye and silence left Bomin and I alone
-"did you like the movie?" he asked me -"It's amazing! ofcourse Angelina Jolie never fails" -"exactly! she's a great actor"
I was about to reply when a stranger came up to us.
-"h-hello, I was watching the same movie as you, we were in the same hall.. and you really grabbed my attention and I would like to have your number by any chance" he looked down shyly I was thinking of many ways on how to decline nicely while Bomin was digging daggers into his soul with his eyes -"fuck off she's already taken" Bomin replied angrily while harshly grabbing my hand and pulling me to the opposite way -"well that wasn't very nice tho" I tried calming the angry baby beside me -"he doesn't have good intentions Nara" -"I don't understand?" -"this guy is a bad guy. he belongs to a gang that target women. they go ask for their numbers, and when they get what they want, they hack their phone systems and get all of their personal information as well as pictures and later on they'd manipulate the girls with the info they have for money or self pleasure" -"oh my... is his gang The 00' Liners?" -"no baby, The 00' Liners go after these bad gangs. they're the only good gang, they aim to demolish all bad gangs that think that women deserve the downgrading they usually get from society and use women's weaknesses for evil works. The 00' Liners stand with women rights against the most closed minded people that think that women only belong in kitchens and whatever bullshit they believe in" he defended -"well now that you're talking about it in that way... I guess they're not THAT bad after all... but they still kill and violence is never the key" -"You know, I can't explain to you.. but one day you'll understand eventually. you're in safe hands Nara I promise" he smiled after calming down "do you trust me?" he continued -"actually.. I do trust you... alot too. you're like a comfort place to me in this foreign country, thankyou for being there"
he suddenly stopped in his tracks and pulled me into a big affectionate hug in the middle of the street
people passing by looking at us but we certainly did not care
we took the bus back home and Bomin dropped me off and left the building again since he had buissness to attend to
I had some free time before going to bed so I decided to revise some of my assignments while listening to some calming music
I didn't realize that I studied for so long that the clock read "12 A.M"... I decided to prepare for bed while watching some news
I just stayed tuned throughout the boring news segments just to check the weather forecast since the late segments on TV are the most accurate ones
I was washing my face when a certain name caught my attention...
'The 00' Liners'
"The 00' Liners are back after almost a week of no murderous activities! we found a dead body near Han River of a young man lying under a tree beside a handkerchief tailored on it The 00' Liners' signature mark assuring that it was their doing. the police are currently investigating, but as usual, this gang is very sly and always outsmarts the police! let's hope for the best and stay safe! your reporter, Kim Yuri"
I swear my heart almost stopped when I saw the dead body... it was... the man who asked for my number... the bad guy...
so they really do just harm only bad guys.. how did they know about this incident.. I'm about to go crazy..
I better tell Bomin tomorrow.
