Kits

Nico's POV:

We had kits at one point. At least the pack did. I'm one of the only omega foxes around. Most have mates though. Not me. I can't find a fox mate.

I know know why. I have a wolf as my mate. His name is Will and his wolf's name is Sol. Both are protective of me and won't let me work around the other wolves.

I always work with them. Especially the pups. They are so small and I love to help out. The females love the help especially since the males are usually doing the protecting.

"Nico!" Will said jumping at me

Immediately a male was in front of his pregnant mate. She didn't need protecting, because instincts and she's female. Females are not weak in any way.

"Hey, you're out early." I said

"Percy said the medics could leave. It was only Kayla and I, so we left." Will said helping me up

I touched my head getting dizzy for a second. Will's arms were under me in a second making sure I was okay.

"I'm fine. Just got up too quickly." I said

"Okay. If I see any other symptoms I'm checking you out." Will said

"Noted." I said

Over the next few weeks the symptoms got worse. Will didn't notice. He kept watching me, but I masked the pain when I knew he was watching.

"I'm going to check you out. Jason said your symptoms were worse. Why didn't you tell me? I can help." Will said

He pulled me into the infirmary. Chiron had come in after a bit, but he didn't stay. Will checked me out doing a full examination even though I blushed telling him it wasn't necessary.

"I'm going to do an ultrasound. You were a little swollen around some specific spots." Will said

I nodded and he did an ultrasound. He turned the screen excitedly pointing to four little dots. I'm having kits.

"Kits?" I asked surprised

"What's a kit?" Will asked looking at me

"It's what we call pups in our species." I said rubbing my hand over my stomach

"Oh." He said

"Will they be affected because of the different species?" I asked

"Not them. You will be affected. You have a choice Nico. Are you keeping them?" Will asked

"Of course I am." I said

He smiled and I knew he couldn't be happier. He protected me more. Especially when I got sick. It was hard for me to get up and I spent a lot of time in bed.

I had four kits. We named them after different names for light. Will thought it would be good, because the kits last name was technically Solace. Like his wolf since he's alpha and head of the house.
