I followed Sophia into her class, and when I did, I was met with a rather familiar face. Raphael, a high-class angel, was perched at the teacher's desk, a grin pressed upon his lips as he looked to us.
"Please, take a seat," Raphael said as he motioned for us to take a seat at one of the desks.
"He wasn't kidding.... He really is playing teacher." Kaileb whispered to me as I took a seat beside him.
An angel playing teacher was definitely something new to see. In a way, I supposed we all were playing something. I was playing a student along with Kaileb, a demon, and surely we weren't the only ones pretending to be a normal human, right?
I felt a nudge on my shoulder as Sophia leaned into my ear, "Hey.... About me being part angel, you aren't going to tell anyone, are you?" She whispered.
"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." I assured with a smile.
"What secret?" Grinned Kaileb as he hovered over my shoulder.
"Nothing." I dismissed as I looked away.
"Oh, come on. It's something, tell--"
"My name is Mr. David. I'll be your teacher starting today! If you guys have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask me." Interrupted Raphael as he flashed the girls in the class a charming smile.
All the girls in response giggled madly and whispered to one another. As figured, they were all head over heels for the new hot angel sub.
"Today we'll be doing a simple worksheet. Kaileb, will you pass them out?" Raphael asked as he extended sheets of paper to the groaning Kaileb.
Kaileb mumbled some inaudible curse words before he snatched the papers from Raphael. "Why pick on me?" I heard him grumble while stood up. When he did, his eyes widened suddenly and he gripped my shirt, tossing all tossed the worksheets down onto his desk. "I smell something outside." He said as he jutted his thumb out towards the hallway.
"Smell something outside? That's great, Kaileb, really. I'm so proud of you," I mumbled sarcastically.
"No, listen. I think a demon just passed by, no, I'm almost positive. It's scent is strong, but at the same time it's different." Kaileb explained before glancing over to Raphael.
Raphael seemed to have known something was going on, because he nodded and said, "Oh, and Kaileb, can you show the new student, Gabriel, where the office is? He has a form to pick up."
Sophia glanced up, tilting her head in confusion. "Is something wrong...?" She asked quietly. She knew something was up. She always did.
"No, nothing at all. Just have to grab a form!" I lied before dashing out of the classroom with Kaileb. When we were finally out of range from the classroom, I asked, "Do you still smell it?"
"Yes. Strong, very strong." Kaileb said as he dragged me down the hallway. "It could get dangerous. So be careful."
"You don't have to tell me that. I was already attacked by my own illusion, and then attacked by a demon in Sophia's home. How could it get anymore dangerous?"
We ran down the hallway, down the stairs, and turned the corner when Kaileb froze at the door. "The scent stops here. That means that whatever it is, is hiding out in there."
"In there?" I whispered as I narrowed my eyes. "I understand. I'll go first."
Before Kaileb could warn me, I had just entered the room of the unimaginable. It was... the girl's changing room.
The first thing that I noticed, was a bunch of near naked teen girls giving me the look of horror.
"Ah...."
"GET OUT!!!" Hollered all the girls in unison. I spotted Carmen in the corner, her mouth hung low as she shook her head.
"Right! Sorry. Sorry. Very sorry!" I apologized quickly before dashing out of the girls locker-room.
Kaileb stood watching me, his hand placed over his mouth to muffle his laughter.
"You could have warned me!!!! A little, 'I wouldn't go in there, it's for girls only,' would have been enough."
"I tried," Kaileb said with another obvious chuckle. He wasn't good at hiding it.
My cheeks heated, "Now all the girls hate me. Carmen was even in there!"
Kaileb's eyes flashed, "You saw my sister...?"
Crud. Wrong move, Gabriel.
"Yeah, but she was clothed! She had clothes on!" I assured as I let out a nervous laugh.
"Pervert," hollered out a voice as the door to the locker-room flung wide open. Carmen stood next to me with a frown. "You are terrible! What were you doing, peeking? Aren't you an angel?"
"I can explain!!!" I assured.
"You better." Carmen said with a huff.

"So... apparently there is a demon in the girls changing room," Carmen repeated her question for the third time."Yep, and I can't find out by myself. If we can find and catch the demon, then we probably can get some answers out of it. Like, whose sending demons after the angels." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I can help then. What am I looking for in specific?"
"Usually demons have traits that differ from humans. Like, take your brother." I gripped Kaileb's arm, "His nails. They're longer than a humans, and sharp."
Kaileb pulled away, "I cut them regularly but they just grow back regardless...."
"Then, his teeth. They are pointy. All demons have some demon-like features, whether they are noticeable or not."
"What about.... A girl with pointed ears?" Questioned Carmen.
"Pointed ears? Yeah, that could be a trait. Then again, some humans have pointed ears." Kaileb said as he scratched at the back of his neck in thought. "Who is she? Is she in any of my classes?"
"Ah.... Well, that is the thing... She's not a student."
"Not a student? Then what is she?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow.
"My PE teacher...."
