After dinner we all headed out back to the car. However, when we saw the car, we all realized in instant depression that the vehicle was in no condition to drive. The tires were slashed, the windows were broken, and the passenger door was completely ripped off its hinges.

"MY CAR!!!" Kaileb roared as he dropped his keys. His gaze had narrowed to demonic slits and he quickly turned his gaze towards me. "THOSE FUCKING DEMONS! I'LL KILL THEM!"

Carmen frowned as she stared at the car, "Demons did this? Are you sure?"

"Positive! Who else would do such a thing?" Kaileb muttered with a frown as he tried to regain his composure. "It was the same demon that tried to poison Gabe. I can smell his damn scent on the car. It's disgusting. It's vile."

I too smelt something off, though, unlike Kaileb, my sense of smell wasn't as strong. It was sort of ironic how Kaileb hated demons, when he himself, was half one.

"I'll call mother. She can pick us up." Carmen suggested.

Kaileb frowned and shook his head. "No, I don't want mother involved," he told his sister before glaring back at me. "You better hurry up and finish your mission. Once you go back up, I wont have to worry about some stupid demons fucking up my car."

"Yeah, yeah. I got it. It's my fault they messed up your car," I said with the roll of my eyes. "I'll fix this. I'm an angel, I can probably repair it."

Yes, all of this, was indeed my fault. I completely agreed, even though I didn't want to admit it.

"You better!" Kaileb huffed as he backed away from his car. "Do your little angel magic."

"Don't be so hard on him...." Sophia whispered as she eyed the ground.

I couldn't help but smile at Sophia's words. It was funny to think of little Sophia speaking up for me.

I rubbed my hands together as I studied the damages of the car. I was pretty good at fixing things, or at least I was up in Heaven. Who knew if I was any good down here.

I can do this.

I focused my attention on the car, before closing my eyes, and picturing the vehicle, undamaged, in my head.

I can do it.

"Whoa! It's working!" Kaileb yelled as he watched the car rearrange itself. "Keep going!"

"No, maybe you should stop," Sophia said as she grabbed onto my arm. "You look pale...."

"I'll fix it." I muttered as I clenched my fists to my side.

This took more concentration than I expected. Each individual part of the car had to be rearranged in the exact spot it originally was placed. It was like putting together a puzzle in my mind, but for somebody watching, it was more like a bunch of random floating objects meshing together.

When I finally snapped the door back onto the car, I opened my eyes. The car glowed a white light for a few seconds before slowly dimming and fading completely.

"Ha! I did it!" I grinned proudly as I took a step forward. When I did, a sudden rush of dizziness overtook me. My head pounded, and my vision turned into a blur. I stumbled forward, instantly losing my balance. If it wasn't for Kaileb catching me, I would have fell and hit the ground.

"Whoa.... What's wrong with you, Angel Boy," Kaileb asked with a frown.

"Tired...." I mumbled. That was all I could say. I was suddenly exhausted. Very, very, exhausted.

"Where did he go?" Carmen asked as she glanced to her brother. "He's gone!"

Sophia blinked before she noticed that my wings were back in sight. "He was using his powers to be in his, uh...?"
