It's 10 pm and I am just about ready to jump into bed when somebody starts requesting my presence at the gate. Not wanting to deal with the buzzing and notifications from my phone, I decide to head down there.
Since it's dark out, I decided to get into an old Audi that I own and drive down the driveway. Surprise surprise, it's Lola.
"I have work tomorrow." I tell her as I start driving back up to the house. "Why didn't you text?"
Lola lets out a sigh, "I just need a place to stay, sorry for not calling or texting beforehand."
"We'll talk about it in the morning." I rub the side of my face as I park outside of the house. I can't be asked to find the right parking space for my Audi so I'll move it in the morning.
I walk Lola to one of the guest bedrooms that is located on the other side of the house.
"You've got three days to get your shit together." I mumble as I set her suitcase down besides the dresser. "Then you need to leave."
"Here I thought I was your friend." She smiles as she throws herself on the bed.
"You are." I wink at her. "I would usually recommend the nearest hotel."
Lola lets out a giggles, "Where's Tiffany?"
"In bed." A yawn leaves my lips as I make small adjustments to the room seeing as it hasn't been used in a while.
"Does she know that I'm here?" Lola sits up as her eyes follow me around the room.
"You wouldn't be here if she didn't know." She raises a brow at me and I stop what I'm doing to look at her. "We're engaged."
"SHIT!" Lola stares at me in wide eyes and I'm not surprised. This is a level of commitment that I never thought that I would submit to and everybody knows it.
