Coming back home from my short trip to Miami with Maya was wild as the paparazzi were waiting at LAX for us. We were mobbed and followed around like dogs which was a slightly different experience for me as I can usually get around without trouble. I'm a lowkey type of guy so people don't know where I'm at unless someone has shared my location so I was pretty confused since I took my private jet.
Things between Maya and I are pretty complicated now so it's best that I keep my distance from her for a while as I navigate through life. My life seems like a train wreck right now and I don't know what the fuck to do at this point in time.
I sigh deeply while pulling up outside of Tiffany's work place since it's pretty obvious that a conversation needs to take place. I reached out to her in regards to us speaking and as expected, she sent me her location.
Watching my wife walk over to my car with that dead expression on her face kind of hit home because that's how I felt as a child and it makes me realise how much I've been hurting her. I wish things were different but she needs to get rid of her obsession with me and find herself somebody who can give her what I can't.
"Hey." She gives my cheek a kiss after she has gotten into my jeep and I bite down on my bottom lip.
"How was work?" I ask as I start driving because I don't want anyone overhearing our conversation or sharing images with the media. "You look good by the way."
"I look like shit." Tiffany gives me a look. "Work was work."
"Nice." I roll my eyes while facing the road. "It seems as if we have a lot to talk about."
"I guess so."
"Ok then." I pause for a moment to gather my thoughts because I don't know what the hell will happen next. "I think we should get legally separated until we can figure things out but if you want a divorce then I'm open to it."
"A divorce?" Tiffany's voice cracks. "Seriously Zander? You seriously asked me to meet you so you could bring up the topic of a divorce. You should have brought the papers if you were going to stab me in the heart for the hundredth time."
"I did." I point to the glove compartment. "I have papers but I'm guessing you didn't hear when I said we should legally separate. We're just not the same people and it sucks that it had to come to this."
