It was now the Friday before Christmas break as Cassie sat at breakfast with her friends.

They went out every Saturday night to tranform into their animagus forms.

Hermione and Cassie were making great progress on the appeal. They were about one session away from finishing it.

Cassie had already done all of her holiday shopping at the stores in hogsmeade.

Samantha and Cassie were doing good as well. They had gone out on a few more dates and frequently hung out in the Slytherin common room or Cassies dorm.

Draco, Caelum, and Cassie were going to Malfoy Manor tomorrow so she planned to give to her friends presents today. This would be the last time they would see eachother before the Malfoy ball on christmas day.

Cassie sat quietly and ate her breakfast as Draco complained beside her "I dont get it, just because Potter fainted doesnt mean they had to postpone all quidditch games till after the holidays. Dementor didnt even do anything and the boy just fell off his broom." Draco spat as most of the table laughed.

"Yeah well, we have our next game after break Slytherin vs Gryffindor, now if we win that one we'll throw the party of the century." Felix said as he sat down next to Daphne on the opposite side of the table.

Cassie checked her watch as she read the time 7:58.

"Come on guys, Potions in 2 minutes, we gotta go." Cassie spoke as she grabbed her stuff while her friends just followed.

Cassie walked into the library during her free period holding a gift in her hand as she took a seat at her and Hermiones usual table.

Hermione took a seat across from her with a bright smile "Happy Christmas!" Hermione said as she placed her satchel on the table.

"Happy Christmas, I got you a little something. Aunt Narcissa always taught me to get gifts for everyone, but anyway I hope you dont mind." Cassie said as she held up the green wrapped gift while Hermione smiled, her cheeks turning crimson red.

"Of course I dont mind, I must admit Ive gotten you something as well." Hermione said as she pulled out a small box wrapped in sparkling red paper.

They both exchanged theyre gifts as Hermione spoke "You go first."

Cassie chuckled "Alright."

Cassie unwrapped the gift revealing a small black box. She took the lid of to reveal a sliver pin with the outline of what looked like a Hippogriff.

"I erm, know its not much, but I-"

Cassie interrupted the girl as she looked into her honey eyes.

"Hermione, its great, I love it." Cassie said as she traced over the pin, admiring it and how the light reflected off of it.

"Alright your turn." Cassie said as she snapped from her thoughts and put the lid back on the box.

She placed the small box in her satchel as she watched Hermione unwrap the green box.
