Cassie woke up and immediately groaned at the feeling of having a huge headache. She slowly sat up in her bed, trying to remember the events of last night.

She remembered leaving the dance running after Hermione and coming back here with her before she passed out.

And then she remembered something odd, Hermione crying while reading something. Cassie couldnt tell if it was a real memory or not but just in case she got up and walked over to her vanity.

She opened the door and let out a sigh of relief when she saw Hermione gift and not untouched.

Cassie then picked up the note, reading over the words she had written right after their first kiss. Her fingers softly skimmed over the words remembering how happy she was while writing it.

Cassie finger lightly brushed over a soft smudge in the ink, probably from a drop of water. But Cassie didnt cry while writing this...

So Hermione did read the letter, Cassie thought.

The raven haired girl could barely keep her thoughts together. Why didnt Hermione say anything? Did she not want to be her girlfriend?

She had no clue what to think anymore as she put the piece of paper back in her drawer only for a new piece of paper to slide under her door.

She looked at the envelope with a confused expression while opening it. She looked outside her door to see who left the note but no one was there.

Cassie sat back down on her bed now reading the note.

𝑃𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑚𝑦 𝑡𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑡 8, 𝑤𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑘.

Cassie flipped the note over but there was no name. 'Great' she thought, just another thing for her to worry about.

The raven haired girl made her way to the Great Hall sitting down next to Daphne and Joe.

"Someone finally woke up." Joe said in a playful tone while Cassie lazily put food on her plate. "Seems like you had a late night." Daphne mentioned, giving the girl a look which Cassie didnt understand.

Cassie shot the blonde a confused expression and Daphne whispered in her ear "Granger was in your dorm last night." She said which made Cassies eyes go to the Gryffindor table, seeing Hermione sitting with Harry.

"Yea well nothing happened." Cassie mumbled now looking down at her food that she just pushed around her plate. The rest of the friend group didnt exactly know what to say.

They knew Cassie and that right now the only thing that would make her feel better would be being with Hermione and she couldnt actually do that. 

"Did you guys hear Rita Skeeters been banned." Draco said sitting down at the table with a copy of the daily prophet in his hand, passing it along for the other slytherins to read.

Cassie looked at the moving picture of Rita being escorted off of school grounds. "Its about time, all that bullshit she was writing." She added Caelum smirking at her comment for some reason at the other side of the table.

Cassie then spotted Cedric walking out and excused herself from the table to go talk to him.

"Hey Ced." Cassie said walking up to the brunette boy who turned to her with a soft smile "Hey Cas, how was your christmas?"

Cassie hummed "It was pretty good. Saw you having fun with Cho." She lightly teased while the taller boy rolled his eyes playfully as the pair started walking down the corridor.
