Today was now the day of buckbeaks execution as Cassie walked down the castle grounds.

She saw the golden trio enter Hagrids hut while she ran in the forest behind the pumpkin patch. She saw buckbeak sitting in the pumpkin patch as the executioner, Dumbledore, and the head of the Disposal of Magical Creatures walking down the hill.

Out of the corner of her eye Cassie saw a pebble being thrown into the hut, so she looked to her right but she saw nothing so she brushed it off.

Cassie took out her satchel and took out a dead ferret she had gotten to lure the Hippogriff away.

She watched the golden trio exit Hagrids hut swiftly and run up the hill hiding behind a large pumpkin that was in front of her.

She was about to call out to the three before she heard a twig snap to her right. She watched the three gryffindors turn around to check where it came from as she hid behind the tree that was in front of her.

"Hermione, come on, weve got to go!" She heard Ron whisper shout at the bushy haired girl as the three made their way up the hill, out of Cassies line of vision.

Cassie saw the head of the Disposal of Magical Creatures explaining the rules to the other three men in Hagrids hut so she knew this was her chance.

In a crouched position she slowly backed out of the forest and towards the pumpkin patch. She whistled lightly as the large Hippogriff turned to her.

She held up the dead ferret in her hand as her face cringed from the smell. She started backing away slowly, the Hippogriff now following her because of the dead animal in her hands.

Buckbeak continued walking towards her, now out of the pumpkin patch and in the forest while she led him further away. Cassie stopped once they reached a large bush that she knew would cover the bird as she threw the ferret at him which he gladly ate.

She ducked down behind the bush with the Hippogriff, now seeing the 4 wizards walking out of the hut and freezing in place as they realized buckbeak was no longer there. The group of men looked around the pumpkin patch in confusion while Cassie watched from the side.

She watched as the executioner walk to where buckbeak was as he brought his axe down harshly on a pumpkin, mad he couldnt complete his job. Cassie smiled to herself as she watched the men walk back up to the castle.

She contined walking buckbeak into the forest before she saw two figures in front of her.

"What are you two doing here? You were just up the hill?" Cassie asked Hermione and Harry who now stood in front of her.

Hermione just smiled as she engulfed Cassie in a hug which the taller girl gladly returned. Hermiones arms were wrapped tightly around Cassies neck while the latters were holding her waist securely.

Hermione pulled away a bit so that they could both look at eachother without leaving the embrace "You saved him." Hermione whispered to her sincerely. Cassie smiled softly "I promised, didnt I?" She asked which made Hermione chuckle. Harry cleared his throat which made the two girls pull away. "We have to go Mione." He said while the bushy haired girl nodded.

Hermione looked back up to Cassie "Thank you, now go back up to the castle, we'll take care of buckbeak." Cassie nodded as the two walked deeper into the forest, buckbeak by their side.

Cassie started walkng back up to the castle when a scream caught her attention. She saw Ron being dragged by a black dog towards a tree that she recognized as the womping willow, Harry and Hermione running after the two.
