Jin
I had never in a million dreams imagined that this would be the way I would meet Prince Taehyung.
I had always thought of it as something that I could think about and smile later, not a meeting I would rather forget.
The hit with the knight statue must have been hard- Prince Taehyung was wincing and constantly rubbing at his arms and hip, eyes still not leaving me.
Whether he was feeling furious or not was not understandable- his face was blank and unreadable.
He was wearing black jeans and a white stitched shirt- the kind with embroidered floral patterns on it.
He was so handsome. Way more good looking than the millions of pictures and videos I have seen of him.
His eyes are just a bit more shinier, face a bit more sharper.
"Who on earth is he?" A deep voice brings me out of my thoughts of the charming prince.
That's when I realise that the chilling deep voice belongs to none other than Prince Taehyung.
I had never actually heard him speak. I had just seen telecasts of him waving at the crowds or photoshoot pictures of him.
"Taehyung, he is your...new caretaker from now". Hoseok says. His voice isn't even a bit nervous, even though he is speaking with someone of utmost importance and high authority.
They must be really close for him to speak like this.
"And what kind of caretaker is he? Giving a bruise to his master on the first day itself?" Taehyung questions, cold and judging gaze turning to me.
Master?
I look down with shame. It's not like I had wanted to push the prince against a statue like that. It was his fault for taking a turn without checking who was in front, in the first place.
"It's not my first day of work, yet. It's tomorrow". I mutter out, regret creeping in only after I see the irritated- and if not more furious- look on the Prince's face.
Way to go Seokjin. You just spoke against the prince. That too the very first words you uttered to him.
"And he talks back too". Taehyung looks at Hoseok. "Are you sure that he is my caretaker?"
Hoseok nods and his posture remains straight and sure. "Yes, Taehyung. He has been appointed by me. I have approved of him".
"Hmm". Taehyung crosses his arms in front of his taut chest then looks me up and down. "What's his name?"
"Kim Seokjin". Hoseok replies.
"Well, Seokjin", says Taehyung. Is he going to forgive me and let me proceed on with the tour? I couldn't handle this tension anymore. "Someone needs to teach you manners. I don't think your mother taught you that".
I bite my tongue and try not to say anything that might possibly make me get kicked out of this city, if not the country.
My mother didn't teach me manners?
More like yours didn't. Who on earth looks at a new employee who unintentionally pushed you against a statue, like he commited a murder?
It wasn't even that hard of a push to begin with!
However, I know that speaking out what my mind actually wants to say won't help. I will lose my job and I can't afford that.
"I am sorry, Prince, for accidentally pushing you against a statue". I apologise softly. Near me, I see Hoseok slightly shake his head.
