And just like that, my uncle went peacefully in order to keep me safe. But I wasn't going to see him again.

When they took him out of the court, I froze, unaware. I turned to meet my godfather's eye as he was now standing behind me.

Tears fell once more as he pulled me into a hug

Tears fell once more as he pulled me into a hug.

Soon enough the court was empty and it was just Snape and me. Mrs. Malfoy had left along with Dumbledore. I sighed and cleaned up my face as I looked at Snape.

"He really does love you, Scarlett. I do too for that matter, but like he said, 'you must learn to rely on yourself.' Because in reality, people leave."

I frowned and looked to the ground, "Yeah, I know... believe me."

"Scarlett, I didn't mean it like that, but for any of this to work, you must learn to trust yourself. I won't always be there to help."

"Okay, okay. Can we just go back to Hogwarts?" He sighed and nodded as we walked out of the court. I closed the door behind me and was soon met with the presence of the Minister himself.

"Miss Grindelwald. May I have a word with you?"

I looked up to Snape but the Minister cut in before words could be exchanged, "I can bring her back to Hogwarts after." I nodded and Snape agreed, leaving me with the Minister.

"Miss Grindelwald," we walked to the lift and soon were walking through halls that led to an office.

"Scarlett is fine."

"Scarlett, back in the court, it seemed that you really cared for your uncle."

"Yes sir, umm. Throughout the years, of hearing the stories of my parents, I've also grown close to my uncle. He was basically my father, he raised me. Even if I didn't see him every day... he was the closest thing to a father. I mean Mr. Malfoy is all about work, he's not really around often."

He offered a small smile and nodded in understanding, "I can tell that he really loved you too. For one, taking the unbreakable vow is dangerous and means that they really care, beyond compare. Secondly, I asked you here for another reason."

I tilted my head confused but listened as he continued, "Nurmengard is a life sentence, meaning he is as good as dead. I'm sorry. But that also means we must read his will."

"What about the testament?"

"He requested that it be left for you to read when he passes away for certain."

I nodded understanding and waited as he pulled out a piece of parchment. He cleared his throat and held the parchment before him.
