Walking into the Astronomy tower, Poppy saw Draco sat on the floor against the railing, his elbow resting on his knee and his face resting in his hand. He appeared stressed out and troubled. She opened her mouth to speak but began to wonder if it had been a good idea to follow him at all when it seemed as though he'd come to the tower for the alone time.
'Do you think I didn't know you were following me?' As he spoke, Poppy flinched and he raised his head and arched his brow at her. Getting to his feet, he shoved his hands into his pockets and studied her up and down. 'You going to thank me for saving you from detention?'
'Saving me?' Poppy asked. 'Is that what you were doing?' When he didn't respond, she continued. 'What were you actually there to talk to Snape about?'
'You never learn, Dumbledore,' he replied, shaking his head. 'Always prying, always searching for an inkling of something suspicious. Why can't you just mind your business?'
'I see you're pretty irritated right now so maybe I'll just leave you to it,' Poppy mumbled, taking a step back.
'You told your friends about us?' Draco asked. 'That bitchy looking Weasley girl called me a dickhead today and her idiot brother tired to fight me too. He told me to stay away from you.'
'Yeah, they know,' Poppy told him, knowing it was too obvious to lie. 'Nobody else though. Have you told your friends?'
'I wouldn't embarrass myself, Dumbledore,' he replied, harshly.
'Okay, I really don't want to be around you when you're like this so, yeah...' Poppy sighed, shaking her head. 'I shouldn't have come up here.'
'I already told you, I knew you were following me. I realised the second I could smell the vanilla wafting up the corridor,' Draco told her. 'Why do you think I diverted and came here?'
Poppy frowned softly and shrugged. 'I don't know.'
'Well, you got my note, didn't you?' He pulled his hand from his pocket and held up the scrunched up paper. 'And now, you're no longer busy.'
Poppy let out a tiny breath of amusement. 'And now...what? I must follow your orders?'
'You're catching on quickly,' Draco replied, his tongue snaking into his cheek smugly, a sight she hadn't seen for some time and instantly became heated by.
Don't be an idiot, Poppy. Turn around...walk back to the dorms. Don't give him the satisfaction, not after everything he said.
'You know something, Dumbledore...' Draco slowly strolled towards her, his shoulders swaying coolly and his tongue gliding across his bottom lip before he grinned and stopped in front of her. 'You have very obvious tells.' Reaching out, he trailed the tip of his thumb across her cheekbone and pulled away again. 'When that natural pink glow of your cheeks intensifies and spreads, becoming an elegant shade of red as it moves right down to the tip of your nose, it speaks to me. It tells me all I need to know. It shows me that you want me to fuck you.'
Poppy tensed up and felt her face flush hotter, him addressing it and watching it closely as he smirked making it worse. She squeezed her thighs together, already feeling weak and she debated pulling out her wand and stunning herself unconscious just to escape the stupid decision she knew she was about to make.
'What will it be then?' Draco asked, moving in closer until his body touched hers and he placed two fingertips underneath her chin, raising her head to look at him and he grazed his lips gently across hers. 'See? Not an order...I'm giving you the choice. Isn't that what you wanted from me?'
She closed her eyes frustratedly as not to see the two pools of bright blue staring back at her. Yes, he was giving her the choice but in her current weak state of mind, she certainly didn't mind being ordered. She liked it.
