A Day Before Tommorow

Chapter Two Daniel

I almost went out to her last night.

Almost.

But there was something off about her. As though I had more of a past with her then she let on when I 'met' her a few days ago.

"Daniel?" A voice calls out.

"Eden?" I answer back, holding my cup of coffee and stepping into his room. It reeks of vomit.

"I, uh," Eden starts.

"I got it." He's covered in his own puke. "Go get in the shower." Eden takes off his bile covered shirt and pulls the rest of his body out from under the covers and runs into the bathroom. Before long I hear the shower water turn on.

Sighing I gather up the covers and sheets from his bed. A little bit of last nights spaghetti gets on my thumb. I wipe it on a clean section of pillowcase.

By the time Eden is done, I have taken off all of the sheets and laid a towel down for his to sleep on. An old blanket is folded at the foot of the bed, and a bowl is set at his bedside table. Just like how mom used to do it.

Eden comes in with new pajamas on. "Thank you, brother." He says.

"Your welcome. Puke in the bowl if you have to. You know how to clean it up." I help him crawl under the blanket and I tuck it over him. "Sleep well."

I turn off the lights and close the door.

Once out I the living room, i reheat my cup of coffee, sit on the couch, and turn on the tv. It immediately turns on to a gossipy news station.

"The United Colonies of Americas Elector has officially broken up with Commander June Iparis, as the Elector himself says." I sit up straight in my seat. It switches to Anden with three microphones in front of him on a podium. "I have officially broken up with Commander Iparis, as our relationship has taken a, um, wrong turn. Sorry to those supporting our engagement. It has not worked out for us for months. Sorry for any inconvenience." Anden steps down from the podium. The speech cuts to a commercial about The United Colonies of America and their generosity.

I almost feel bad for the guy.

Almost.

today I had a math competition and it was so much fun! My crush went ☺️ and it was so much fun it was at UofM and it was so much fun even thoug I had to take 3 tests and I sat in one seat for 1.5 hours.
