I didn't remember falling asleep. Or jc carrying me to his bed. I also failed to recall JC laying by my side the rest of the night either.
But I do remember how nice it felt to wake up next beside him, his warmth enveloping me into a dreamy haze.
Stop. now.
How old are you Sophie? Twelve! Cause you're sure acting like it! I couldn't become attached to someone who could hurt me so easily. Plus, he does drugs.
Jc, still wrapped up in blanket a few feet away, was still blissfully unaware. I rolled over to try and fall back asleep but I kicked him.
Crap.
Jc stirred, rubbed his eyes and peered up at me.
"Hey beautiful." His morning voice was scratchy, yet soft.
"Hi..." I felt my cheeks get warm.
"You hungry?" He asked, hobbling out of bed.
I nodded and watched his toned chest ripple and flex with his movements.
He followed my gaze back to himself, "oh my god. Sophie, you're like a hormonal teenager." he teased.
"Maybe cause I am one."
He caught on quickly and hopped onto the bed beside me again before biting his lip pretentiously.
"So you're not even going to defend yourself?" He laughed.
"Gotta roll with the punches." I uttered quietly, forcing him to lean closer.
I could tell I was going to drive him mad, the way he twisted with anticipation.
He finally closed the gap between us, pressing his lips against mine lightly.
His lips were soft and full, delicate compared to the rest of him.
Butterflies shot through me, exploding in the places we touched.
His hands traveled to my hips.
Bang.
But then I remembered the sight of him yesterday and pulled away quickly.
"Is something wrong?" His eyes searched mine, looking for answers I couldn't conceal.
"No." I glanced away, not wanting to look him dead-on.
"Come on Sophie, I'm stupid, but I'm not that stupid." He rolled his eyes.
"I've gotta go home..."
"Fine," he jumped off the bed and ran downstairs nonchalantly... without putting a shirt back on.
I, however dragged myself into the bathroom and wiped the makeup out from under my eyes and threw my hair into a messy bun.
I traveled downstairs into the living room where I first seen Felicia and Jc last night.
I stopped myself before the door, listening.
He was behind me.
"Sophie," I heard Jc mumble. "Don't go."
I set my hand on the door knob, "Why?"
"Tell me what I have done first. I want to fix it." he begged.
"I-- I have already overcome my addiction." I gulped. "I can't get involved again."
"I smoked the last of it last night." He scrambled to put lies together.
"No, you didn't." I gripped the knob, getting ready to exit.
"How did you--"
"I was looking for a mop." I explained.
"So then you found..." He trailed off.
I nodded, "Bye Jc."

Jc's POV
I watched her leave. Walk down the drive. Turn turn into the next street.
I felt something tickle the corner of my eye.
No.
I grappled the keys off the hook over the front door and dashed into the garage. I was not going to let this one slip away.
Not her.
The tires squealed as I drove after her.
Not Sophie.

Sophie's POV"Sophie! I heard a Distant voice yell.
I turned toward the sound... only to see a crazy-haired Jc, with his head stuck out the window of his car.
He pulled up next to me and hopped out immediately.
"Sophie wait! I can change. I will change for you." He panted.
I stared at my feet, "okay." I mumbled under my breath.
"Huh?" He squatted beneath me, leering up at my face.
"Yes?" I replied louder this time.
He smiled and lifted me into the air with a bear hug.
"So... will you come back over?" He offered.
"I don't know. My mom..." I lied.
"Your moms on a business trip until Monday." he laughed.
"How did you--"
"You talk in your sleep... a lot."
"No I dont" I denied.
"How would you know." he raised an eyebrow, stifling a smile. "come on." he smiled and opened the door for me.

Jc and I walked hand in hand I into the school. I could feel the stares but that's to be expected when you come back on Monday with the hottest piece of meat to go through Highschool since Ansel Elgort.
We turned into the sophomore hallway when I spotted Elise, who promptly winked at me seductively laced with encouragement. She squared her shoulders and set her hands on her hips in front of us.
"Hey?" I awkwardly tried to start conversation.
"Hey," she replied cheerily and nodded at Jc. "May I have a little chat with you." Her face suddenly ominous.
Without waiting for a reply she gripped his arm, leading him into a nearby utility closet.
Oh god.
She's gonna give him the talk, I shuddered.
