I buried my face into the roses, breathing in the sweet smell.
"Jc, why did you do that?" I asked after he had shoved them into my chest.
"Can we talk outside?" He replied evenly.
"Yeah." I nodded eagerly and stood. He placed his hand on the small of my back, leading me towards the door.
Once Jc made sure we were out of ear shot he began. "I just wanted to apologize for involving you in my addiction. Just because it's mine doesn't mean it has to be yours."
I was speechless, should I still push him away? Or should I accept him and his flaws. Even though one of them could effect me pretty harshly.
I smiled, "thanks."
"So do you think we could... go hang out some time?" He asked eagerly.
"I don't know, I don't want my mom to get mad at me for you know...." I trailed off.
"For what." He was on the edge of anger.
"Nothing." I regretted bringing it up.
"No really, what." Jc questioned
I closed my eyes before I gave out the insult. "For hanging out with a druggie." I winced as I laid out the truth.
I heard footfalls.
