Lucas' POV
"Wait, so you're telling me that you are currently living in the manor where the person you are guarding is? Why didn't she just live in the Hiiragizawa estate?" I chuckled at tone of shock from my cousin's reply.
"That's because I agreed to watch over her, close, Yuukiteru-san. I promised Seiji-san after all." A sigh could be heard from the other end.
"Are you sure this is a good idea? Because it sounds to me, you'll get yourself involved with matters that was never supposed to include you." I shook my head at his worries but my mind wandered to the silhouette I saw a few days ago.
"When the time comes then I'll just do what I have to do." The older groaned from the other side of the phone. "Why are you so calm about this Luc? Here I am worrying yet you sound so calm about this."
I hummed as I placed a bookmark on the book and closed it then ran my hand through Shu's hair. "It's too early for me to worry about things that have yet to occur. If I worry now, I'll just end up overthinking things. And I hate that, you know."
"Ugh fine. But!" I pulled the phone away from my ears and glared at Laito when he snickered at me. "If something happens, you better inform me! I don't want to hear news from Keigo, that kid makes everything sound dramatic."I hummed in reply.
"I'll try, just keep in mind that I do not make promises. I don't like it when you twist things into your favor." I hears him splutter from the other side and rolled my eyes. "I'm hanging up now."
"Ah! Wa- Luc-" I ended the call and sighed. "That took longer than I expected." The duo hummed at me. "Who was that guardian-kun~?" I let my fingers run through Shu's hair as I leaned on the backboard of the bed.
"A worrisome cousin, he's older than me and the other two. I prefer to refer to him as mom though, he nags like one and acts like one." They both hummed at me.
"Speaking of which," I trailed off as I glanced at Laito then looked down at Shu. "Why are you two here?"
Silence surrounded us and I glanced at Laito who had kept himself busy reading a book he took from my shelf. "No reason." Shu muttered and I hummed.
"Is that so?" They both hummed in response and I rolled my eyes. "Could you move a bit Shu, I wanna sleep too." He hummed as he moved to the side and I laid on the bed with a contented sigh.
"So why did your cousin contact you?" Shu asked and I hummed. "I don't see how I should be telling you the reason for that." Laito chuckled. "Just answer the question guardian-kun~"
"And if I don't?" I sassed with a raised eyebrow before Shu turned to lay above me and hands on my wrist. "We'll just have to get it out of you."
I rose an eyebrow at him and glanced at Laito. "Since when did you two come to an agreement of cornering me? And I don't recall having to tell you guys everything."
"It was unplanned guardian-kun~" I sighed as I glanced at Laito. "What happened to calling me Lucas?" He gave me a smile that literally feined innocence, for some reason, and it irked me.
"I personally favour calling you guardian-kun just to irk you." I glared at him before feeling a fingers on my chin making me turn to face Shu. "You're attention should be on me."
