Lucas' POV

The atmosphere's suffocating...

Is what I thought as I ate my dinner in silence, just like everybody else.

I was seated in between Shu and Subaru while Yui was seated on the opposite side at the end which was also means Ayato sat on her left side.

I glanced at Yui and noticed that she had not touched her food nor give it any attention leaving it cold. She was busy observing the brothers with a confused expression until her gaze landed on mine. We held each others gaze.

I glanced at her food in a subtle manner before continuing with my own food.

She must've understood the silent message I sent her and looked down at her own plate of food until her attention was moved towards the person on behind her. "You should eat more bitch-chan."

There stood behind her, Laito, with a smirk as he and Yui held gazes. "Would you like for me to feed you?" He asked with eyes narrowing. With a glint of amusement and mischief in his eyes, Yui seemed to put herself on guard around him.

There was a slight tension between them as Yui's posture tensed and stiffened as Laito seemed to slowly lean closer to her face in a teasing manner.

"Laito." Reiji's voice cut through the slight tension between the two. His eyes narrowed towards Laito as he spoke. "It is rude to stand during dinner." Laito pulled away with a small shrug.

"Hai hai~" He said as he turned away to head to his seat, but not before glancing at Yui. "We'll continue this later, Bitch-chan~" He shot with a wink.

The sound of screeching caught my attention as I turned to Shu, who sat on my left.

"Sh-Shu-san?"

He muttered, "What a pain." , then left the room. The soft clicking of the door echoed in the room and I stopped eating. Grabbing the napkin and wiping my mouth from any crumbs on my mouth and lips.

"Nothing comes good when you're raised rotten." Reiji muttered with a gloved head on his temple.

"Teddy, what should we have for dessert? Shall we have a banana snowball?" Kanato asked his plush in his right arm as he held a fork in his other and stabbed the said dessert.

The biscuit broke in half which made him frown as he stabbed it again but it broke again. He stabbed it again and again until he was cackling as he stabbed the dessert on the plate.

"He doesn't even attend out monthly dinner parties." Reiji muttered with a sigh of annoyance. "That is all." He said in a dismissive manner and Subaru got up and left followed by the triplets.

Once the brothers were gone, Yui and I stood up to leave. "Just a moment." We both turned to Reiji and his stern gaze pierced through Yui.

"Your table manners are unsightly. One of these days I will take you to the side and discipline you." Yui gulped and nodded. He then turned towards me.

His eyes narrowed in scrutiny. "I've expected no less from an heir of a blue-blood household." He said. "I suggest you teach Miss Komori a thing or two before my patience thins to no existence." He added.

"And I expect you to take things seriously." He added as his eyes narrowed at me and I nodded. "Understood."

His narrowed eyes morphed into a slight glare as he nodded for us to leave.
