Laito's POV
The silence was a tad bit suffocating as we made our way to where Richter was. We just followed the trail of blood on the floor and walls to locate him. Given the tone of his uncle, when he offered they hunt after Richter, Laito had expected that they would be chatting on the way there.
But he had ben wrong...
Bellion was simply humming a familiar tune to himself as his gaze trailed after the splats of blood. With a little pep to his step, Laito was sure that this man had another set of torture prepared in his mind. How pitiful Richter would be by the time Bellion was finished with him.
However. From his observation, Bellion seemed to be the type who would torture someone till neaar death but then do something to make them endure all the other types of torture he had in mind.
He was suddenly reminded of how the demon had plucked the eye out of their uncle's socket with a manic gleam in his eyes. Thick blood trickling down his hand down to his wrist, staining the white polo he wore. Some splattered blood on his face didn't even seem to bother him, as if it was just some unseeable spec of dust.
*quick switch to 3rd person's pov*
"You look like you want to say something? Care to share your thoughts?" Laito snapped his eyes to meet blood red ones. Those red eyes were brighter than Subaru's and it looked as if desire had darkened deep in those pools of ichor.
Bellion's eyes were magnificent and they were as rare as rubies.
"Don't look to deep or else you'll lose yourself." Laito was thrown out of his thoughts as he blinked at the demon who had a blank expression. "Are you that thrown into the depths of desire, Laito?"
"Pardon?" Bellion turned to fully face him and leaned his face close making the vampire flinch at how close he was. Their breaths tickled each others skin but none of them were bothered by this.
"Hmm, yours is as dark as malachite yet it shines as bright as jade." Bellion leaned back with a hand on his chin. "So common yet so rare."
Laito had no idea what the man was referring to but he was sure to have felt offended by his words. The deep frown upon his features had the other chuckling as they patted the vampires cheek.
"Think nothing of it. I have a habit of muttering nonsense." The demon said with a smile, a smile that clearly told Laito that he wasn't sharing. A secret.
Now, Laito was a secretive person himself whenever it comes to having to keep information he knows to himself or blackmail materials. But he hates it when someone is secretive towards him.
He may have only known Bellion for a few minutes, despite the non-existent interaction, he could already tell just from that smile that Bellion was a secretive person himself. And it may seem he has a lot of secrets of his own.
"Ne, you promised I could get to know you if I come with?" Laito said with a false pout that had Bellion laughing. "Did I? I can't recall~" Laito simply narrowed his eyes at the demon who was clearly steering him away from getting anything out of him.
Bellion had seen the dark haze in Laito's eyes and huffed with a sly smile. "Disappointed?"
Not letting his words get to him, Laito forced a smile and said, "Not at all~"
The silence between the two was awkward if there were a third person with them and the clear growing tension between them growing. Laito was annoyed and Bellion, who was in Lucas body, smiling at him with obvious ridicule was making blood boil.
