When Amu woke up it was late into the night, about 12:40. She looked over and saw Ikuto sleeping peacefully beside her. His arms still wrapped firmly around her. She smiled at him and snuggled him which in turn made Ikuto tighten his grip around her just a little. She smiled more and kissed his cheek very lightly. Ikuto made a sound but didn't wake up. Amu released her breath and tangled her hands into his blue locks. He looked so vulnerable. His had dark black rings around them and he looked so worn out! Amu wondered how long he'd been like this, having sleepless nights, stressful days and back to sleepless nights where all you think about is that one special person you let walk away. Amu felt a tear slide down her cheek. Her nose instantly started to run and she sniffled. This woke Ikuto up and he sleepily looked at Amu. "Amu?" He asked. Amu looked up at him with tear filled eyes. He suddenly woke up enough to realize she was crying and he hugged her. Her fingers gripped on to his head, still tangled up in his hair. She broke down crying. She didn't want to relive those hopeless, dreary, depressed days. She wanted to build a life with Ikuto. She wanted to be able to always come home to Ikuto and be able to lay next to him at night and feel his reassurance. Ikuto's hands rubbed her back in a soothing circle. "I-Ikuto I don't want to leave this behind!!" She cried. Ikuto shushed her and kept rubbing her back. "I want to stay here and be here with you!" She sobbed. Ikuto held her tighter. "It's okay Amu." He soothed. "I don't want to be with anybody else! I want you! I-I..." She trailed off, her body now shaking. Ikuto held the women he loved tightly. He didn't want her to leave either and he definitely didn't want her crying! But he knew she had to leave and he couldn't go with her, not until he for filled his end of the deal. In order to be able to end the contract with his manager here in New York he had to go on a date with his manager for 5 months until he was able to leave the contract. His manager was a huge fan and wanted sexual desires to be filled but Ikuto negotiated it down to dates only. He looked at the now drowsy Amu. 5 more months and they could be together. If he broke that deal she would make him stay with her, here in New York, for 2 more years maybe even 3. Amu curled her body up next to his. He examined the girl. She was still small compared to him. Her pink hair covered her golden orbs. Her shakey breaths coming out steadily after her crying session. Her body rose and fell with each breath. Her slender body frame fitting perfectly right beside his. All of her imperfections, the flaws that ordinary people pointed out to her, he loved them. The way she blushed and got mad, or the way she could be loving and compassionate when she knew she needed to be there for others. The way her embarrassment made her stutter and get nervous around him. He loved her all. "Don't worry Amu we'll be together soon." He whispered so very quietly. Amu pushed her face further into his chest at his words even though she was now sleeping. Ikuto smiled and kissed her forehead. "I will always love you." He whispered. The next morning Amu woke up next to Ikuto. Her head laid on his chest and he held her protectively. Her arm rested on his stomach. His body radiated off heat and she smiled. She loved these moments. It's as if the world had stopped and was letting them have a few peaceful moments together. She turned her gaze to his structured face. His tense jaw line, his resting eyes. The way his breaths came out in slow puffs. It almost lulled her back to sleep. His heart beat was steady and strong. His chest was hard yet tender. Her body lined with his almost as if they were met for each other. She sighed quietly and nuzzled into him. She didn't want this moment to end. She just wanted to stay here like this for a while longer. She thought back to the moments before Ikuto left. She held his hand almost the whole day. She didn't want to let go in fear that he'd leave and never come back for her but what did she know. Of course he wouldn't come for her, he never promised such a thing. But... this moment truly spoke for itself. They were in love. She turned a bit pink. Was she really in love? She glanced up at Ikuto and then looked away as she blushed more. She was definitely in love with him!! So why hasn't she told him that!? He's told her multiple times but she's never responded properly. It was true that she basically confessed last night but it wasn't a confession that she thought was good enough. She really had to say the words! She had to tell Ikuto she loved him before he moves on and leaves her!!! She sighed, she was the one always leaving him. Ikuto loved her, that was clearly a fact but Amu had always sort of rejected him. She always tried breaking off their relationship so she wouldn't hold him back. Now that she thinks about it though, it was always for his best interest. So did that mean that they still could be together. Suddenly she was interrupted from her thoughts by a yawn. She looked up at the sleepy blue headed boy. She smiled brightly at him even though she felt sad that she had to leave this behind... Again! Ikuto smiled sleepily at the beautiful girl. "Good morning." He yawned again and wiped his eyes. She smiled more happier this time. "Good morning Ikuto." She said. "Sorry for bursting into tears last night." She said. Ikuto shook his head. "I don't mind, what else are boyfriends for?" He teased. Amu blushed. "We-were not dating yet!!!" She scolded him. He laughed. "Well then when do you want to start?" He asked. Amu went red. "We should go eat breakfast..." She suggested. Ikuto sighed. "As my girlfriend wishes." He said before getting up. Amu clenched her hands into fists. "I told you-" Ikuto cut her off by pressing his lips to hers. When he pulled Amu stared at him before scowling. "We're not dating yet!" She scolded before she nervously clutched onto his hand and walked with him to breakfast...
