A promises

Amu, Ikuto, Kukai, Rima, Naji, Tadase, and Kairi all went out to eat. "Where should we eat?" Ikuto asked Kukai. Amu bumped Ikuto's hand as they walked on the street. Kukai shrugged. "Some place where the girls would love it?" He suggested. Naji cleared his voice. Amu looked over at him. Rima was basically clinging to him. Amu blushed as the thoughts of her and Ikuto rushed into he mind. She glancd down at Ikuto's hand and blushed more. She went to grab his hand but then got to nervous and pulled back. She scolded herself in her mind. She should be able to hold hands with Ikuto! I mean they were dat- Amu suddenly stopped her thoughts and realized that her and Ikuto hadn't really started dating or even really confessed to each other. What were they to each other? Amu knew Ikuto loved her, he's said it more than once and he's kissed her often as well but did that mean they were truly a couple. Amu hadn't confessed properly and had never really kissed Ikuto on her own. Amu cursed her self and tightened her hand into a fist. How could she be so stupid as to leave this feeling unsaid, she should just come out and tell Ikuto these feelings she's having about him, tell him how she truly feels, give him reassurance that she feels the same. Ikuto noticed her sudden tense and stiff movement as she start to speed up past him so he grabbed her fist and sneaked his fingers inside, interlocking their fingers. Amu's eyes widened in surprise and she looked up at Ikuto. He smiled reassuringly at her and she blushed as she edged closer to him and slowed her pace. After they found a place to eat Ikuto, Naji, Kairi, and Kukai walked the girls back to the tour bus. Utau barged out in exasperation. "Oh thank god! Yaya is driving me crazy!" She ranted as she walked over to Amu. "Well it was nice to see you again Ikuto." Amu said. Rima shook Naji's hand. "Goodbye Naji." Rima stated. Amu rolled her eyes. Oh so now she decides not to cling onto Naji! Ikuto eyes her and she hugged him. "I guess this is Another goodbye..." She whispered to him. Ikuto chuckled and wrapped his arms around her. "I won't forget you Amu! I love you and I promise I will come back to Japan and find you. I won't leave you ever again after that! I love you so much!" He whispered back. Amu blushed and nuzzled him with her face. "Shut up, don't make promises you can't keep!" She scolded. He pulled away and looked at her seriously. "I'm serious Amu..." He said. Utau suddenly ruined the moment. "Amu come on Yaya wants to check a few more stores before we leave!" She complained. Amu sweat dropped and then glared at Utau. "What?" Utau asked dumbly. Amu sighed and shook her head. "Never mind... bye." She turned to Ikuto and smiled sadly at him. He smirked. "If you want, me and the guys can show you around." He said. Amu perked up. She twirled around to look at Utau. "Can we!?" She asked excitedly. Utau glared at Ikuto and Ikuto smirked smugly. Amu was confused. Why were they acting this way toward each other when they just met? "Fine, I suppose so... If it'll make you happy." Utau said. Amu suddenly forgot about the weird gestures between her and Ikuto and cheered. "Yay! Thanks Utau, I'll go get Yaya!!" Amu smiled happily and dashed off into the tour bus. When she came back out the aurora between Ikuto and Utau seemed tense and ridged. Amu shook it off and grabbed Ikuto's hand again. Yaya took charge. "First to the mall!!" She shouted before stomping away dragging an innocent Kairi away with her. Rima Disappeared with Naji after awhile leaving Kukai, Utau, Amu, and Ikuto alone. "So, Utau..." Kukai started. The glaring girl took her eyes off of Ikuto for a moment and looked at the green eyed boy. "What!?" She asked annoyed. Kukai sweat dropped. "I-I was wondering I-if y-you would, um, like to go in there?" He pointed to a store with designer clothes in it. She gasped. Amu smiled; Utau's weakness! "Uh... sure..." She said. She shot one last glare at Ikuto before walking away with Kukai. When they were out of ear shout Amu pulled on Ikuto's hand. He looked down at her and smiled. She blushed a little. "Ikuto, what is the deal between you and Utau, she keeps glaring at you!" Amu asked. Ikuto smirked and chuckled. "She's... an old acquaintance." He explains. Amu felt he wasn't telling the whole truth but left it unsaid. "Oh... well how'd you two meet?" She asked. Ikuto shrugged. "Nothing special... not much of a meeting really." He said. Amu sighed internally. "Well tell me! I wanna know!" She prompted. Ikuto smirked and looked down at her. "Are you jealous Amu-koi?" He teased. Amu turned red and smacked his arm with her free hand. "Shut up! I am not jealous I'm just curious!! She's one of my best friends!" She argued. Ikuto chuckled and kissed her hand. She became silent. "I'm just teasing, relax." He assured her. She grumbled something under her breath and looked away from him as she moved in closer to him. Ikuto smiled, finding her reaction cute. "Ikuto, can we get ice cream?" Amu asked as she pointed at a little ice cream shop. Ikuto smirked and nodded. Amu smiled happily and they got some ice cream. They walked around, Amu happily licked hers. "Ikuto, I dont want to leave you agin... I mean... nevermind." She said as she hung her head. Ikuto smiled. "It's okay Amu, I understand. Don't worry, I will definitely come back and be with you!" He said as he kissed her forehad. She blushed instantly. "Be quiet... And stop making promises like that!! I know you wont be able to keep it!" She grumbled under her breath. Ikuto's eyes wideed in shock; promises she knew he couldnt keep!? Whats up with that. Surely by now she must know how much he loves her! "Amu! What are you saying!? Of course I'm not joking about coming back for you! You just wait and see! I'll prove you wrong!! Don't forget I love you!!" He said sternly yet in a gentle way. Amu wiped he eyes and nodded. Ikuto sighed and slung his arm around her shoulders, bringing her in closer to him. She rested her head on his shoulder as they continued to walk around the store. She trusted Ikuto about coming back for her but she was still scared to say goodbye again. Who knew how long she could stand to be alone beforehe actually did show up! She sighed, a least shes happy right now.
