A few days later-

Y/n-
I woke up hearing the sweet sweet sound of rain on my window. I rolled over and grabbed my phone. It's 12 pm, Saturday. Anna slept over yesterday so she's here, but not in my room? Huh weird. I got up, got dressed and went downstairs seeing my mom and Anna laughing in the kitchen.

"Well look at you two" I said grabbing a water from the fridge.

"Your mom's really nice y/n. I think I might like her more than you" Anna said.

"Ok that's it you gotta go" I said picking her up, throwing her over my shoulder. She punched my back repeatedly until I threw her down on the couch. I stuck my tongue out at her and tan back to the kitchen. She ran after me and smacked my arm. "Hey wanna go outside later?" I asked as she sat back down on the barstool she was originally sitting on.

"Yea but in the rain?" She asked.

"Well duh. The rain is fun, we can lay in the road and I can finally fulfill my dream of becoming a speed bump" I said, receiving a smack on the head from my mom. I laughed and looked at Anna who was also laughing.

"Yea we can go outside later. But can we watch a movie or something first? I'm bored and don't feel like being outside right now" Anna asked heading back upstairs, which I assumed she was going to my room to get changed since she was still in pajamas. I nodded and she went upstairs. I turned back facing my mom and she was giving me that motherly look. The one your mom gives you when you bring home a friend she's never heard about until then.

"What? She's my friend" I said.

"Yea your friend who you're in love with" she said. My eyes widened and my face turned red.

"What makes you think that?" I asked keeping my head down.

"Have you seen the way you look at her?" She said. "Trust me I know" she added.

"Ok if you 'just know' cause you're that good... do you think she likes me?" I asked.

"That's for you to figure out" she said.

"But-" she cut me off.

"Figure it out y/n!" She yelled from the stairs.

"Mom I just met her I can't ruin it" I said back. By then she was upstairs and in her office, back to work. I sighed and went back upstairs. I walked into my room and saw Anna laying on my bed, fully clothed, no longer in pj's. I plopped down next to her and she sat up. I grabbed my laptop off my bedside table and laid it on my lap. I opened Netflix and selected my account.

"What movie you wanna watch?" I asked.

"It's not going to be on Netflix" she said. "Pitch perfect. It's my favorite movie. Besides ice age" she said. Cute. I nodded and looked for where to watch pitch perfect or ice age. I soon found pitch perfect and nudged Anna when I did. She looked up seeing I found it. Then she cuddled up next to me. I was hesitant at first, to cuddle her back but I did anyway. I'm not too big on physical affection but I can handle it from certain people.

Time skip-

Anna-
After the movie y/n gave me an old t-shirt. She went into the bathroom after finding one for herself. I changed my shirt and sat on her bed waiting for her. I was sitting there a while until I realized she was waiting for me. I got up and knocked on the bathroom door.

"I'm done" I said giggling a bit. The door opened and y/n was standing there, awkwardly to be honest. We've had moments like this the past few days, where we just stare at each other and not say a word or move. But this time she smiled and moved past me.

"Ready to go outside?" She asked.

"Yup" I said. She threw her phone on her bed and we went downstairs. I thought we were going to the front yard to lay in the road like she said but instead she went to her back door. She opened it and immediately laid down on the concrete. I giggled and watched as she just laid there, with her eyes closed and her clothes soaking up the cold rain. She opened one eye looking at me.

"You just gonna stare or are you gonna come lay with me?" She said. I shook my head and laid down, resting my head on her stomach. She put her hand on my chin, cupping it then moving her thumb back and forth. I smiled to myself as I felt my stomach fill with butterflies. Her touch is so comforting. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment until I felt her sit up. I opened my eyes and looked at her. She stood up and put her hand out. I grabbed her hand and she pulled me up. After still not saying a word she put her hands on my waist. I took the hint and put mine on her shoulders, wrapping around her neck. She swayed us back and forth with a smile on her face. I love this. I want to kiss her so bad. I want to feel her lips on mine. I want to feel her body on mine as we sway back and forth in the rain with her lips on mine. I want her all to myself.

"What are we doing" I asked giggling. Distract yourself Anna. She shrugged.

"I don't know, but I like it" she said. I felt myself blushing a bit. I hoped she couldn't tell because of the rain but she did, I could tell by the way she smirked. It's what she does every time she makes me blush which is a lot. We were still swaying back and forth until she picked me up. I screamed.

"Y/n put me down!" I yelled. She shook her head and threw me in her pool. I swam back up to the surface and splashed her. "You better get in here with me!" I yelled again. She laughed and took off her shirt, revealing her black Nike sports bra and faint abs. She jumped in the pool making a big splash.

"Happy?" She asked moving her hair out of her face. Damn.. I nodded. We splashed each other for a while. It was fun until we heard thunder, I kinda got scared and went back in the house. Her mom left towels on the floor for us. I grabbed one and went upstairs. I heard y/n laughing behind me. "Aw what's the matter Anna? Scared of a little thunder?" She yelled from downstairs.

"Yes actually!" I yelled back. She came upstairs, grabbed some sweats and a hoodie then went in the bathroom and changed. I grabbed a pare of sweats and one of her hoodies as well. She shouldn't mind right? I changed then told her I was done. She came out of the bathroom and laid next to me.

"You look cute in my clothes freshman" she said, making me blush for the 10th time today.

"Wanna cuddle again?" I asked. She nodded and smiled. I scooted closer to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She rested her head on mine. We laid in comfortable silence for a while.

"Hey Anna?" She said. I hummed in response, then looking up at her. "How fast do you think the average person can catch feelings without it being weird or seeming rushed?" She asked still staring at the ceiling.

"Not sure, maybe a week or two. I've caught feelings that fast before" I answered. She looked down at me and nodded. "Why? You like someone?" I asked shaking her as I fought the jealousy that was rising.

"Maybe. I don't know, she's kinda sending mixed signals and I'm not sure if she's straight or if she's even figured out her sexuality" she said. I nodded and looked away breaking the eye contact she was holding onto for dear life.

"I hope you figure it out though" I said even though I felt myself getting more and more jealous.

"Thanks freshman" she said.

"Sleeping here again?"

"Yup. If that's ok with you, I'll go home if it's not" I said.

"Nope I love having you around. Especially cause I have 0 siblings and Taylor doesn't leave her house unless we have school" she said giggling. I nodded and nuzzled my head into her chest, soon falling asleep.
