no body, no crime (Steve / Bucky x Reader)

He leaves the room without saying a word and i get upset but the medication made me very sleepy.
5 minutes later i hear my door open again and i turn to see who it is.
It was Steve but in pajamas.

"Did you really think i'm going to leave you alone?"
I start laughing and see how Steve turns every light off except the one in the bathroom.
"Im leaving this light on okay? Just in case you feel scared you can see that im still laying here."

"Thank you, uhm i know this is weird but could you tell me a story? It helps me fall asleep."
I ask him, hoping he doesn't think im weird for that.

"Oh obviously, okay so let me tell you about how i met Bucky. Well i was 13 years old at the time and i was getting some beatings from some bullies........."

* The next morning*

I wake up at 9 a.m. and see that Steve is still sleeping on the couch. I pick up my phone and see that Daniel texted me.

Daniel: Hey! I heard you are in hospital? Whats up, are you okay??

The second i read this message my head started to hurt in the worst way possible. I kept getting some kind of flashbacks but i wasn't able to remember what it was really.
It got so bad i started crying out loud forgetting that Steve is still here.
Everything around me goes blurry and can tell how i woke up Steve.

"Y/N?? Y/N? What's going on? Jarvis, tell Bruce to get here as soon as possible!"

I feel like i can't physically speak and my whole body is shaking. Steve is holding me tightly and waits for me to calm down.
I fall unconscious.

I wake up 30 minutes later but i haven't opened my eyes yet, i can hear Steve screaming at Tony.

"Tony get rid of Hargreeves! You know his past. Get rid of him or i will, and you can trust me that you will never see this man ever again!"
Steve screams and Tony is speechless.

I open my eyes out of shock about what i just heard and Natasha notices. She gives Steve and Tony a sign to shut up.
"Hey baby girl, are you feeling better?" says Nat.

"It was Daniel?" i ask.

"Let us explain. The police was here and wanted to talk to you and everyone who you talked to on the day of the incident. They checked Daniels locker and found a substance very similar to whats in your blood.
He said it could have been an accident but he's being interrogated at the police office, Bucky is with him to see if he's doing or saying anything fishy."
Nat explains to me and i can just tell she's hoping i won't cry.

"And what past was Steve talking about?" i question.

"His family is known for doing corrupt things like money laundry and even kidnapping. It was never proven that he was a part but its very likely."
Tony answers.

"But why me? What have i done? Im not rich nor am i powerful in any way?"
I say while i can feel all the cuts on my body hurting again. It feels like someone put alcohol on them.

"That's exactly what we are not able to figure out. Maybe Hargreaves was telling the truth and it was an accident. I mean he did get you dinner, so what if he just accidentally touched the substance and ended up touching the food?"
Steve tries to make it make sense without making me anxious.
"Alright, but that doesn't matter right now. Do you wanna go brush your teeth and we will have lunch? I will make you pancakes."

I nod and Steve puts me in the wheelchair and pushes the chair into the bathroom. I try getting up to take a quick shower and the second i get into the shower i fall and start screaming.
