I don't know what you've heard about me
But you're setting the bar too high
I know you're disappointed with what you see
I hear it in your hidden sighs
You expected too much.
You thought I'd be great, like in the stories that fly by
But some stories are never the whole truth
They always have a buried lie
I know you expected
Talent
Strength
Humor
Skill
But I have none of those
And I watched you choke down the bitter pill
of realization
It struck me too.
I simply wasn't
Good enough.
