If only
You could realize how much you meant to me.
How it hurt to see
You walk through the door and onto that plane.
Starting your new life somewhere else.
We were
Best friends
We promised to keep in touch,
But that has come to an end.
Still
I think about all the memories we shared,
All the fights we got into.
But really, we were always there
But the world is different now
We're stronger
But not as strong as we could be together
Back when we were
Young.
