~One week later~

It's been a week since mine and Jin's birthdays, and since we made that deal to never talk to each other again.

Also a week since that deal completely failed, but after that day we started it up again. And surprisingly, we actually listened to it. We haven't spoken once since that day.

I'm not quite sure if our arrows still point at each other however, since he's never really around for me to check.

I would check in the lesson where he sits behind me, but then Chunhei would see and freak out. Then she'd probably try and find a way to murder me so that Jin's arrow would change.

"Do you have a free period next?" I ask Aera as we walk up the stairs.

Aera shakes her head. "No, Yoongi and I have a lesson together." She then glances at me. "You sure you'll be okay with your evil birthday twin who just happens to be your soulmate lurking around?"

Well that was precise.

I sigh. "Yes Aera, I will. I have work to do anyway, so I'll be in the common room."

Softly she chuckles, and the two of us make it to the top of the stairs.

Hoseok is already sat in the common room with his nose in his phone, earphones attached to his ears. Since this is how he is, he doesn't notice me enter or approach his table.

Smiling to myself, I tap his shoulder. However it seems as if it was a little too hard as to my surprise he actually jolts in his seat in shock, darting his now widened eyes up.

When he notice it's me, he eases. "Did you have to sneak up on me like that Tara? I'm trying to get through today with no interruptions of any kind!"

Tilting my head in confusion, I sit down opposite him and place my bag on the table. "What do you mean?"

"Well Yoongi hyung and Namjoon have lessons, and Jin didn't come in today. I'm assuming he slept through his alarm, but maybe there's another reason he just didn't bother telling us. No surprise there." He huffs.

Jin's not in today? No matter how much he says he hates school and education, he surprisingly never misses a day.

Something about his parents being really strict on him, and if he attendance fell form that perfect 100% then...let's just say that number would hit rock bottom real quick.

"Never thought I'd see the day he'd miss school," I say. "But I'd say it's better off. For me anyway." I shrug, opening my bag and taking out a couple of my school books.

"Ah yes, your beloved soulmate arrow." Hoseok laughs to himself, jolting up his eyebrows. "I could tell how ecstatic you both were about that when I got back from Gwangju last week."

I sigh, shaking my head. "Hopefully one day, this arrow will point to someone else."

"Be careful what you wish for, Tara." Hoseok leans forwards in his seat. "Because you might grow to like him. And then what, your arrow begins to point to someone else? It would kill you both if that happened."

Blinking, I scrunch my face up and think back to what happened last week. "I really doubt it."

Shrugging his attention goes back to his phone, since he notices my work on the table.

About half an hour in, I bite on my bottom lip and stand to my feet. Stretching my limbs, I sigh and glance at Hoseok.

I wave my hand in front of him to get his attention. "I'm going to the vending machine. Want anything?"
