Author's POV

"These cupcakes were nowhere near as good as our ones from last year." Aera's stern voice says as she inspects a cupcake in her hand. "But they're still good, I'll give them that."

Tara scoffs. "They're 10 times better than our ones Aera. Because our ones weren't edible. Jaesang proved that."

With a laugh Aera places her hand on Tara's shoulder, and Tara lightly laughs back. The smile and the laughter may seemed forced but it's working in making her forget what's happened.

"Didn't Jaesang get food poisoning from them cupcakes?" Aera then asks as she takes a bite out of hers.

Thinking to herself, Tara nods. "I think so. My mom made me make all of his meals as a punishment for making him ill."

Aera's eyebrows jolt up. "Wow. That's a questionable punishment."

After Aera finishes her cupcake they begin their walk back towards the common room, passing by the classrooms and also the door to the women's bathrooms.

As Aera finds a bin to place her cupcake wrapper, Tara carrys on walking a little only to however completely stop in her tracks.

Because her eyes lay on someone she thought she'd never see here.

He hasn't seen her yet as he has just come up the stairs, and whilst panting his eyes dart to the arrow on his wrist.

Tara panics, not wanting to see or speak to him. So she thinks of the only thing she can do and hurtles herself into the women's bathroom.

Aera returns back and becomes confused, as Tara is not where she left her. "Tara? Where'd you go?"

From hearing her name his head shoots up. He spots Aera and she spots  him too, becoming even more confused by the second.

He quickly hurrys over. "Aera! Where's Tara?"

Aera shrugs. "She was here a second ago. What are you doing here?"

"I'm bringing her back to the resort!" Jin hastily replies whilst out of breath from running up the stairs.

Aera blinks and raises an eyebrow. "You're taking her back? Is that such a good idea?"

Jin struggles for words and shrugs. "Probably not but I don't care what my parents think of her! As long as I'm happy and she's happy that should be enough, right?"

With an uneasy expression Aera's shoulders lift and then drop. "I guess so. But you know how big of a deal these arrows are."

Reluctantly, he goes silent and nods. As he slowly looks down at his wrist he finds his answer to where Tara's hidden herself.

Sighing, he pinches the bridge of his nose and turns to Aera. "She's in there." He mutters, pointing to the bathroom door.

Aera let's out an 'oh', and hesitates before opening the door and stepping inside.

Clenching his hands together out of nervousness, he waits for what seems like forever for Aera or Tara to step back out.

When the doors opens he snaps his head up, and Aera emerges again.

Taking a breath in, her gaze lifts from the ground into Jin's eyes. And then, she shakes her head.

From that movement he already knows what Tara's answer was. To be honest, he always knew what her answer would be.

But what kind of person would he be if he didn't try?

Lowering his head, he swallows the saliva pooling in his mouth and lightly bangs his palm on the door. "Tara please, come out."
