"Oh- wait what?" Haneul, asked to clarify if she heard it right, yet all he did was wink at her as he laughed at her stunned reaction.
"So this is what you've been doing while I was ign-" She immediately covered her mouth with her hand, as her eyes went wide for she revealed that she was actually ignoring him.
"Doing what?" He asked innocently, head tilted to the side out of curiosity, overlooking what the girl had said.
"Practicing your flirting skills...obviously"
"Why? Does it make your heart beat faster?" He asked as he teasingly raised his eyebrows, inching closer to her.
"No. Absolutely not." She responded almost too quickly.
"Right, whatever-"
"Shut up lovebirds, their match is about to start!" Renjun bitterly said, cheering afterwards as their friends were now on the field. The girl snapped out of it, and instead focused on the match that was about to begin.
Though, Haneul had to admit, the boy's words flattered her. She had always thought that people found her annoying for she could endlessly ramble about the most random things. But finding out that he actually likes it, made her feel butterflies in her stomach.
On the other hand, Jaemin remained unfazed by what his friend said. He couldn't really care anymore, somehow admitting to someone about his secret feelings, lifted a burden off from his shoulders. He felt free, as if all of his worries were thrown into an abyss.
He felt comfort whenever he was with her, and for those times when she was ignoring him— difficult times, he admits, but if it weren't for those times, he wouldn't have come to terms with what he was feeling.
Although he knew deep down that it was something more, he was still confused. Because he never felt it before. Being too caught up with his future, was bearing on his mind for a long time. Especially with the situations involving his father and their deal. It was as if he was chained to the burdens that the future withholds.
But whenever he looks at her or at least knowing that she's there as much as he is for her, he was now encased with the bonds of serenity. Finding joy and peace whenever she was within his radius.
"Hey, look- Jaemin! Jeno just scored a goal!" Haneul, tapped Jaemin on his shoulder, cheering for their friend proudly as she was focused on the game.
Yet the girl wasn't satisfied from his lack of reply, so she turned her head to look at him, only to find his eyes staring back at her already.
"Woah, uh hey- did you even see that? It was amazing, they are definitely going to win." Haneul enthusiastically said, as she paid her attention back on the game.
He, on the other hand, was focused on her, finding her reactions entertaining, but from time to time watched the game, because that was what he came for.
