☁️Chapter 44☁️

"Yah!" Such a scene unfolded in the cafeteria, Areum pushed Haneul back as she expressed her anger towards the girl.

"What did I say? He's mine, so you better back off! What part of that did you not understand?!"

And before you check if you're reading this correctly, you are. As their schedules continued, with college getting stressful, it was inevitable that they'll bump into each other, but Areum took the bump way too seriously.

"And what part of telling you that Jaemin is his own person and has the right to say something, did you not get?" Haneul answered back, covering her mouth when it accidentally slipped off her mind.

Murmurs and chatters became prominent, students who were seated amongst the area became the audience.

Her response angered Areum more.

Areum advanced towards Haneul, with intentions of hurting her by grabbing her hair.

The girl with glasses braced herself, closing her eyes, as she blocked her head with her arms, preparing for the pain to inflict.

Some of the people gasped, as the sweet, innocent facade that Areum tried to upkeep now shattered into pieces– revealing the other side that was a result of her emotions.

"Areum!" A guy's voiced interfered as his hand prevented hers from causing destruction. 

"Luke?" Haneul breathes out, a sense of relief flooding her system.

"What are you doing– let go!" Areum tried to snatch her hand away from his, but he didn't let her.

"No, what are you doing, Areum?" He asked her, voice lower than usual.

Oh shi– why did this turn so messy? What if her parents, threatened mine? And what if that will cause their jobs to get taken away? What if–

"Me? What am I doing?" Areum scoffed, before successfully pulling her hand away from his.

"I'm trying to remind this bitch, that she's latching onto my fiancé."

She just didn't use the b-word...

"Fiancé by force– he clearly loves her, are you that desperate?" Luke said, clearly disappointed with what Areum has done.

"Desperate? You mean determined? I don't give up easily."

"Determined? Determined to the point that you're forcing someone into this? Sounds desperate to me."

"Please Areum, trust me, you'll find someone who'll suit you better than Jaemin." Haneul stated, still hopeful that Areum would go back to her sweet side.

"Haneul, dear– with that attitude of hers? I doubt." Luke smirked, his statement shocked her.

Seeing as it made her shut her mouth, he grabbed Haneul's wrist pulling her away from the scene. Throwing Areum one last glance before they disappeared.
