Just as I exited backstage, I texted Minji to know if Haneul was with her. But when I got her reply, I knew this wasn't good.
She walked away from there and decided to go out. But to where? I stood there dumbfounded— I didn't know where to look for her.
Still, it was better to start searching than to not search at all.

And so he did, he searched the outside first before going inside. But despite all his efforts, he wasn't able to see her, not even a glimpse nor her shadow. It's like destiny is trying to keep them apart.
Just as he was about to go back, he heard voices echo from a distance, one of which he was very familiar with. But maybe he was too curious for his own good because there he saw them hugging.
It would be selfish of him to say that he was jealous especially when he was forced into a kiss. Afraid to admit but he was. A low burning heat was settling in his heart– he searched for her only to find her in another's arms.
But he knows Sam well enough. The boy was into guys, and he was reassured by Haneul's confession. Jaemin knew how the girl felt towards him.
So instead of snooping around, he walked away, with a smile. Happy for her, as she finally got the closure that she deserved.
...
"Minji, I'm gonna go out for a sec!" Haneul shouted from the entrance of their shared apartment.
"With who? Jaemin?" Minji, aimlessly walked towards the girl, looking up from her phone momentarily.
"By myself– I'll be back later, bye!"
"Bye!" Minji's voice became muffled as the girl had already shut the door.
She wasn't going somewhere far, Haneul only wanted to go to the convenience store.
Her venture didn't even take her five minutes, all she desired for was some treats– finding the ones in their apartment disgusting, as it doesn't satisfy her cravings.
Upon arrival to said store, she was greeted by a familiar face— Aera. Giving the girl a smile before getting some snacks.
"Wanna eat with me?" Haneul asked, pointing at the extra cup of ramyeon. "Tempting– but I'm working though...."
"I'm sure no one is going to come, especially at this hour? It's almost dawn, plus a cup of noodles won't hurt, especially when it's someone's treat."
Aera gave into Haneul's persuasion, joining the older at the small table outside the store.
As they start to munch on their food, Aera noticed how the girl in front of her would stare into nothing, and would just snap back to reality like it was nothing.
"Is something wrong?" The younger finally asked, breaking the silence that was brought by the night.
"No, it's nothing." Haneul shook her head, sighing as she stared at the sky.
