When Tobio was younger his dad always used to call him, King.
It related to how his father was always amazed by how talented his son was and how he managed to make it seem like he controlled the court. Despite his tiny stature his son always seemed in command with the ball
Tobio's father swore to never leave him or his mother but unfortunately after one bad fight too many he left them without a word.
Tobio's mother threw herself into work and Tobio was left for himself, always hating the word King because if he was such a king how had he managed to get his castle (his home) destroyed.
And this is why Tobio hates the nickname King.
It reminds him of the people that leave him.
His father his teammates, his mother to an extent as well.
