Hope ran back to the motel room. To her surprise it was empty, her father was nowhere to be found. She took a quick shower and got dressed. Luckily someone brought some of her clothes over, she guessed her dad asked Caroline to get some of Hope's personal stuff. Just when she was ready, Klaus entered the room.

"Morning, Hope." He greeted her awkwardly. Hope didn't know what to think of his strange behavior, maybe he suspected what Hope had been up to all night as she stayed at Landon's.

"Morning." She replied vaguely, she really didn't want to talk about anything like that with her dad.

"I'm sorry I just returned... you must be wondering where I was all night..." Klaus started to mumble and Hope looked confused. "I thought I'd give you some privacy." He continued.

"Umm... it's fine dad. Did you sleep in another room?" Hope asked curiously.

"No... Oh... I stayed at Caroline's. Her daughters left for the night." He explained awkwardly and Hope could feel herself blushing.

"Oh... okay..." She didn't really know what to say because she didn't want to know what they were doing, although she was curious how their relationship worked or if they could talk about their past. She didn't bring it up, instead she changed the subject to something more urgent matter that was on her mind. "Dad... I really need to feed."

"I put some bags in the minifridge for you. When we get home, I will teach you how to feed properly." He smirked as Hope walked to the fridge and grabbed a blood bag. She didn't know how to feel about feeding on humans... She didn't want to hurt anyone and she knew her dad didn't really care for humans. Klaus must have seen her hesitation, because he quickly corrected himself. "Feeding doesn't have to be killing, sweetheart. I will teach you control. By the way, you are already doing amazing." Klaus said proudly and Hope just nodded with a sad smile.

"Let's just go home." She said as she finished the bag.

"Are you okay? Did you talk to Landon?" He asked and Hope was surprised he actually used his name but she didn't really want to elaborate.

"Yep. Can we just go please?" She replied vaguely. Klaus had curiosity and rage in his eyes. He clearly hated to see the sadness in her daughter, but he just nodded knowing the recent trauma she experienced.

"Most certainly."

The car ride was quiet to New Orleans. They drove all day and all night. Hope thought through everything that happened with her in the past days. She tried to control her emotions as she was sitting next to her father in his car, but it was hard not to get emotional. Everything seemed so hopeless. She was staring outside of the window as those two days of fear and pain played in her mind over and over again. She glanced at her dad as he was driving. Just knowing he was there right next to her made her feel safe. Then she thought of Lizzie... her only real friend, her best friend. Did Lizzie really believe what Josie said, that she manipulated her? Hope really hoped it wasn't true, she cared deeply for Lizzie and even if she would never forgive her, she hoped that Lizzie knew that their friendship was real. Josie attacked Hope with many unreasonable things that didn't make any sense. Like she faked the soulmate mark... Would Landon really believe that? He told Hope he loved her, he told her he felt their connection. Hope refused to believe what she thought for so long, that her love was one sided. Landon just simply couldn't accept the monster she was. The look on his face told Hope everything. He feared her... she was the murderer and Josie was the victim who lost her father. Of course he would stand by her. It didn't really matter that Hope had to die too, since it wasn't permanent. It didn't matter they kidnapped and tortured her, it didn't matter how alone and terrified she was because she was the one standing. She was only a murderer in their eyes... in Landon's eyes.
