Hope and Landon didn't leave Hope's room since they found out about Hope's pregnancy. They did the rest of the tests too, just to be sure, but they all turned out to be positive. They sat on Hope's bed, backing the headboard, Hope resting her head on Landon's shoulder, while Landon was on his phone with one hand and holding Hope's hand with the other.
"So we are pretty sure it happened at my place last month... right?" Landon asked as he was scrolling through his phone.
"I couldn't turn to my wolf before you get to New Orleans, so yeah... pretty sure." Hope replied, till laying on his shoulder.
"It says the baby's size should be as big as an apple seed." No surprise, Landon got into research mode immediately. Hope chuckled.
"As big? He is tiny." Hope smiled, stroking his hand with hers.
"He?" Landon asked as he turned his head to look at his girlfriend.
"I don't know obviously... but I kinda imagine a little boy with curly hair." She raised her head, turned to him, then ran her hand through his curls. "But it doesn't matter really." She added.
"if we have a little girl that looks like you, I think I'm gonna spoil her rotten... so we better have that boy." Landon laughed and so did Hope. She then laid her head back on his shoulder and Landon went back to his phone.
"The baby is supposed to have a heartbeat from about next week. Isn't that awesome?" Landon said after some silence. Hope smiled, then suddenly stiffened.
"What's wrong?" Landon aked, noticing Hope's mood change.
"Next week?" Hope sat up straight and looked into Landon's eyes. He nodded. "oh god... I thought we were gonna have some more time." Hope said as she started to panic.
"More time for what?" Landon asked, confused.
"To tell my dad. He is a vampire Landon. He will hear that extra heartbeat." Hope explained.
"Oh god! Oh god!" And now Landon was the one panicking.
"We need a plan, Lan. I think it's better to do it as soon as possible. Just ripping the bandaid off."
"Okay... let's plan this. And let's hope my death won't be too painful."
"He won't touch you Landon." Hope laughed. "But he will have a hard time accepting it." Hope said anxiously. "Let's go downstairs, let's eat and try to pretend that everything is the same as ever. We've been up in this room all day." Hope said smiling. As soon as they stepped out of the room, Hope grabbed Landon's hand and froze in her place.
"What's going on?" Landon asked with worry.
"They are here. We were so occupied all day, locking ourselves inside with that sound proofing spell that we didn't hear them. But they are here." Hope said with panic.
"Oh. Caroline and the twins..." Landon grabbed Hope's hand, knowing how nervous she was about this... although they completely forgot it for a moment. Hope nodded reassuring Landon that she was okay and they walked downstairs hand in hand.
Before they would enter the living room, Caroline opened the door, stepped outside to Hope and Landon, then closed the door behind herself. She smiled at them before she spoke.
"Your aunt is explaining right now how the spell works." Caroline said as she walked out to the courtyard, gesturing Hope and Landon to follow her, so they did.
"Okay." Hope nodded. "I should be there then." She stopped, and wanted to return to the living room.
"I don't think it is necessary for you to be in there. Freya said she is able to do the spell by herself." Caroline replied as she kept walking, Hope decided to follow her outside.
