The first thing you notice about Katie is the grass green in her oval eyes. Though slightly downturned, they still capture your attention with their vibrancy. Green isn't the only color in her eyes, though: they're almost hazel because of the brown and gold hues interspersed with the green.
I won't spend long talking about her body, because it's the least interesting thing about her - she's pretty midsized but falls more towards the slimmer side because of the work she puts in at camp. Still, she has cute little tummy rolls because she's a functioning human being! Katie's shorter than average, but isn't crazy short. I imagine her to be around 5'4, but she claims to be 5'5. She's perfectly happy with how she looks, even when Travis makes fun of her for her height.
Her hair almost reaches the small of her back when it's down, but she always has it in two French or Dutch braids. Everything about the braids are messy - the ties at the end, the shorter bits falling around her face... everything except the part, which she's particularly careful to keep perfectly in the middle. I like to think it's that awkward in-between of straight and wavy, but since she braids it so often it's more on the side of wavy. The color of her hair is a warm chocolate brown, and in the summer it gets frizzier and has natural streaks from being in the sun.
Katie's cheeks are full but she doesn't quite have a circular face shape because of her sharp chin. Freckles douse her button nose, knees, and elbows. Though her cheeks aren't naturally rosy, she constantly has a tint on them because of the hours she spends outside. She doesn't tan super easily, but over the summer she gradually gets a golden tinge to her otherwise fair skin. (Mostly, she just gets the aforementioned freckles when she's in the sun.)
Her style (outside of camp garb) is probably indie with a bit of granola thrown in there. I'm talking overalls and oversize tees, bandanas, mom jeans and crop tops, and sometimes a flannel or retro shirt. She doesn't really wear hats or accessories aside from the beaded bracelets the younger campers bring to her in exchange for stories of the first time Percy Jackson came to camp. She doesn't wear a lot of makeup on regular days, but occasionally she'll spice things up with some eyeliner and blush. Katie's a big fan of keeping things natural, but she doesn't see anything wrong with throwing on some makeup every now and then.
Overall, Katie is a beautiful person, but not just for her looks. She draws people to her because of her bright attitude (unless she's dealing with the Stolls, of course) and that's where her true beauty comes from.
