Bojack woke wrapped in a fluffy white blanket, next to... Mr. Peaunt butter!?
The dog was still asleep, but a short memory of last night shot through Bojack's head. He remembered driving here with one thought in his mind and one thought only. I'm telling him. After that, there was nothing, he must have blacked out. Now he lay next to Mr. Peanut butter, not knowing how he got here, only his imagination left to fill in the blanks. He watched as Mr. Peanut butter slowly sat up and made an exaggerated yawn, giving Bojack a warm smile.
"Morning sleepy-head!" Mr. Peanut butter laughed, getting up to make what Bojack assumed to be breakfast.
Bojack made his way over to the kitchen table, waiting patiently until Mr. Peanut butter was done. Mr. Peanut butter placed a steaming plate of pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs on the table, and they began to eat.
"Heyyy... so uhm about what you said last night...?" Mr. Peanut Butter asked expectantly.
shit.
"Ah yes.. the thing that I said.. which I definitely remember.." Bojack began as he attempted to stall. "How about YOU tell me how YOU felt about what I said last night.." he asked awkwardly.
"Well, you didn't say much other than um..." Mr. Peanut butter blushed, suddenly becoming very interested in his pancakes. "You had something to tell me!" And then we, you know."
He trailed off as if it were self-explanatory. Did this mean that they had-that Bojack had-?
"What did you want to talk about Bojack?" Mr. Peanut Butter asked.
"To tell you the truth.." Bojack frantically tried to think of a lie that wouldn't make him sound clinically insane and came up empty. Whatever, it wasn't like he cared about sparing Mr. Peanut Butter's feelings or anything! No, this whole thing was stupid, he didn't even like the guy.
Then why'd you show up at his house uninvited and sleep with him? A voice in his head asked.
Shut up jackass.
Mr. Peanut butter was still waiting.
"I actually, don't remember anything from last night. I blacked out, I have no idea what I told you, but whatever it was it was probably completely stupid and not at all worth listening to. I probably didn't even mean it. So."
"Oh... I see, well if you ever need a place to crash you can always stay here again!" Mr. Peanut butter smiled.
Bojack immediately regretted what he had said, desperately grasping for the words to fix it. When he came to the conclusion that there was nothing to say, he headed for the door.
"Just so you know, nothing happened...between us" Mr. Peanut butter called out to Bojack, allowing him to take a sigh of relief as he grasped the door handle.
"You did call me hot though," Mr. Peanut butter winked.
well fuck.
