Mr. Peanutbutter couldn't look up at Bojack's face to see his reaction, he was too nervous. Instead, he kept talking.
"I'm not assuming that you feel the same way. I just think- You need to know my feelings, so I don't confuse you anymore." Mr. Peanutbutter looked down sadly.
"Mr. Peanutbutter-"
"It's really okay, Bojack. And I'm sorry for making you feel bad."
There was a few seconds of tension-filled silence.
"I don't feel bad, Mr. Peanutbutter. I mean I'm a little pissed off at you for...accidentally playing with my feelings? But I still like you...a lot."
"Really?" Mr. Peanutbutters's ears perked up as he gave an excited smile.
"Really."
"So you're not mad? Cause I would hate it if something I did lead to the destruction of our friendship."
Bojack seemed to tense at that. "Friendship."
"Yeah, I mean, that's probably what you want, right?" Mr. Peanutbutter forced a small smile.
"...And if that's not what I want?"
Mr. Peanutbutter felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest.
"...What is it you do you want, Bojack?"
Bojack's eyes locked with his. They were so close. It was so quiet. Mr. Peanutbutter looked up at Bojack's face. He was so handsome in the morning.
Bojack grinned.
"What?" Mr. Peanutbutter laughed.
Bojack didn't reply. Instead, he placed his hand gently on Mr. Peanutbutter's cheek, not breaking eye contact.
"I want to kiss you Mr. Peanutbutter." Bojack said with a seductive smirk.
"Then kiss me Bojack."
Bojack closed his eyes and leaned down.
Their lips locked together for a deep, lustful kiss that seemed to go on forever, and yet felt too short as soon as they pulled away.
As they parted, Mr. Peanutbutter looked at Bojack, lost in it all.
"So..... are we... a thing now?" Bojack laughed.
"We just kissed so i-i hope so.."
"Fuck.. you're cute, you know?" Bojack pushed him against the counter, kissing him again.
"Bojack!" He laughed. "I have a PB livin' meeting with Todd today, CATCH you later!"
Silence.
"Get it? Because I'm a dog and-"
"Yeah I got it, it's just not funny."
Mr. Peanutbutter whimpered pathetically as he began to leave the room.
"Okay, fine, it was a little funny. Just a bit!" Bojack smirked, kissing his boyfriend again. Wow. Mr Peanutbutter was his BOYFRIEND now. "CATCH you later then, Mr. Peanutbutter!"
"But Bojack, you're a horse.. it doesn't make-"
"Just go!"
