Cyrus smiled softly at him, "Hey...now, which one of you is going first?" Tristian closed his slightly gaping mouth and looked at Diane. Who started to shake her head. "Not this again. It's fine, you two should go." Tristian shook his head as well and said, "Don't make me drag you in here by force. Just go, besides, my friend here needs help though he won't admit it. I will be fine. We will see each other again." After more coaxing and reassurance, Diane finally listened and helped pushed the door open a little more before going inside, disappearing.
The door soon started becoming a bit heavier again when Cyrus groaned and started to slowly slide down. Tristian panicked and started looking around, he soon noticed a large bolder flying towards him from the sky. He caught it in one hand and used it as a way to make sure the door doesn't immediately close up. After making sure the holder stays for a bit, he rushed over to Cyrus. Sitting down and dragging the boy onto his lap. One of his hands immediately went up to comb through Cyrus's hair. More tears came when he noticed the injuries.
"Who did this to you...is it me?" Tristian whispered hoarsely, tightening his grip on the other boy. Cyrus shushed him and slowly shake his head, lifting a shaky hand to cup the other's cheek and using his thumb to wipe away the tears. "N-No it's not. Don't blame yourself man. Now, leave me. I can...I can see the bolder over there starting to break." He said as Tristian noticed that most of his body is fading away and turning into some sort of ghost form sort of thing. Golden eyes noticed the bolder breaking slowly as well.
He soon turned to look back at Cyrus, "Do my eyes look weird?" He asked softly. Cyrus chuckled with a few coughs of blood here and there. "Sorry about that..b-but no, your eyes are fine. They're beautiful...love." Tristian looked down to see that only Cyrus's neck and head are left. Not wanting to miss his chance, he leaned down and closed his eyes, kissing the boy's lips as he felt more of Cyrus going away. Wanting to savor the warmth of a boy he loved so dearly. The boy that, in his mind, he has utterly destroyed.
"I won't ever let you...live that down." Cyrus said with a weak smile.
Tristian let out a snort and retorted softly, "Shut up."
The two pressed their heads together and kissed each other again one last time.
"I love you Cyrus."
"I love...I love you...too."
With that, Cyrus officially died as the rest of his body turned into ghost form and vanished out of sight. Tristian just sat there, looking at the place where he held the person he cared about.
He is so tired.
Tired of the constant pain and struggles he has faced and is still facing in some way.
Tired of not having the peace and happiness he desires so much.
