I awoke to Ponzu nudging me, I part my eyes to see above me looking anxious.
"Oh good you're awake, we're at phase 5" she says with a trembling sort of tone, I could tell she was worried about this last phase. "There's nothing to worry about Ponzu, I promise you we'll both pass" I say standing up as I pat her back in comfort "Really? You promise?" She asks for reassurance which I gladly give, "Yes of course, we a,de it this far together so I'm sure we can make it out together too", she smiles at my comforting words when all of a sudden the boat comes to halt, I guess that means we're here.. well let's see what we're about to get ourselves into. Ponzu and I grab our things and head to the deck of the boat to see we had arrived at some decently sized building with nice architecture. We were then all escorted off of the boat and into a room in that building, it was quite a pretty room though I doubt this phase has nothing pretty about it. "Hello everyone and welcome to the final phase, this phase will determine if you're worthy to be a hunter, this phase you'll be fighting your fellow contestants in a fight until one of you admits defeat and you both can agree, you only have to win ONCE and you pass, if you're to kill your partner wether it's on purpose or not you'll immediately be disqualified, as for those whose waiting for your turn to fight you're not to interrupt or get in the way of the match under any circumstances or you'll also be immediately disqualified, if anyone does get killed however then EVERYONE passes the exam except for the person who killed obviously, weapons are aloud by the way. We've created a sheet to show who you'll be fighting and how many tries you get, those who scored highly in the exam will have have five tries while the ones who scored poorly will have 1, now take a look at the sheet and find out who you're facing first, the two top contestants will begin first.. and that seems to be Gon vs Y/n." That old guy Netero  explains as I set my bag down and throw my long platinum white hair (like killuas hair colour) into a low messy pony tail before walking into the centres of this room while everyone sat back anxiously watched as Gon joined me in the centre I could tell Hisoka was quite interesting to see how this goes, well sorry to let everyone new down but there's no way I'm fighting Gon.
"I'll right let the fifth phase begin!" Netero announces as the referee comes close and watches our movements, Gon gets low and it a defensive stance while I stand there knowing this won't go on much longer, I'll just admit defeat and let Gon pass, He then runs straight for me not allowing me to admit my defeat, I dodge his feeble attempts to strike me, I don't feel bad though, he has so much potential but he still needs a lot more and maybe him seeing the difference between us will help him realize that, I'm not even close to be the best but everyone starts somewhere. After maybe a minute or two if me dodging his punch and kicks with ease he finally takes a second to catch him break, me on the other hand I'm still perfectly fine but I should take the chance to quit. "Mr Netero, I admit my defeat" I say but right as he was about to respond Gon shouts over him "No!! I will not accept that, I want a real fight where you actually try!" Gon demands still panting and gasping for air "But Gon if I actually try I'd hurt you, and I'm better match with Hanzo than you are. No offence" I say crouching down to his height "No! I won't allow it" Gon continues to protest as he looks up at me I can see the pure determination and stubbornness in his eyes, he won't give up unless I give him a fight. "I guess it can't be helped" I say with a sigh of disappointment while standing up "Yes! Thank yo-" he was cut of by my lighting fast chop to the back of his neck causing him to only go unconscious but other no real injuries as I did it pretty light, I catch him before her hits the floor and hold him in my arms, "I admit defeat sir, and Gon here doesn't seem to have anymore objections" I say looking over at the old man and referee, they both nod in acceptance of my defeat as a women comes over and takes Gons unconscious body from me, "Alright then it seems Y/n has lost so her next opponent with be Hanzo" Netero announces as Hanzo that ninja guy walks over and stands across my me, I tighten my ponytail as this guy will show no mercy, though neither will, now I'm not saying Hanzo is all bad but he's like Gon in the sense that he has potential and needs more practice but he's also like Gon in that I can defeat him. Not as easily as I could Gon but I still can will relatively easily.
"That was some cool move you pulled on Gon but it won't work on me" he blabbers on, I just tried to tune it out, his empty threats were more irritating than intimidating, after a minute of his chatter he finally stops to take a breath "Are you done" I ask with while I stand there impatiently with my arms crossed "Did you not hear anything I just said?" He asks visibly annoyed, "Nope, nor do I care"...
