16. Suspicion

Thankfully, we weren't followed after escaping the Den. Hyungwon was cautious and didn't take the way directly back to the dorm. Instead, he went a longer and more confusing route so as to loose anyone that could be tracking us.

When we entered the private parking garage of the dorm and felt secure with the gate closed behind us, we all let out a unanimous sigh of relief without realizing we all held our breath. The tense and disturbed air around us lifted and we slumpted into our seats with weary bodies.

Finally back in the dorm, we were immediately met with the other's worried words.

I saw Kihyun first.

"Oh my god- are you guys okay? Is everyone with you?" He looked beyond Hyungwon in front of us and was doing a quiet head count.

"Yes, we're all okay. We got out just before we were going to stir up trouble." Jooheon answered.

Kihyun turned to me and Minhyuk, "Are you two okay?" I could see the genuine worry in his eyes.

"Yeah- well, one vampire saw my mark, but as soon as that happened we left." I answered him.

"We weren't followed." Minhyuk added.

"You double checked?"

"Jooheon made sure and was watching for anyone all the way home." Hyungwon said. Jooheon nodded.

Shownu popped in next, an alarmed expression on his face and eyebrows raised. He held his phone in his hand, "Is everyone back?"

"Yes." Kihyun said.

Shownu bit his lip, hesitating to speak, "I just got off the phone with manager-nim. He's going to be here soon about our trip to Lotte World."

My heart dropped, "What!?" Ahli let out a curse and brushed their hands through their hair anxiously.

"Shit, now?! How soon?" Jooheon asked in a panicked tone. 

"10 minutes more or less." Shownu said.

"Crap, what about the girls?" Kihyun motioned to me and Ahli. I shared a scared look with them. If their manager found out about us, we and the members were going to be in deep shit.

"I have Wonho and Changkyun already cleaning up their stuff around the dorm." Shownu pointed upstairs. As on cue, Wonho stomped down the stairs with a hamper of Ahli and I's clothes. He stopped noticing us and scurried to us.

"You're home safe!" He gave us both quick half hugs. I relaxed a bit with his sweet demeanor.

"I'm just hiding these in the dryer, I hope that's okay." He gave a shy smile.

"Yeah, that's totally fine." I answered.

"Anything to hide the evidence." Ahli said, nodding.

He nodded and quickly made his way to the laundry room. He stepped behind the wall of the hallway leading to the laundry room that was beside the bathroom.

"Okay, that's covered, but what about the actual girls?" Kihyun asked again more seriously.

"What if they go out to the convenience store and hang out there until he leaves?" Shownu suggested.

"I don't think that's a good idea, not after leaving that place. Even if we made sure we weren't followed, there's still a risk that they could face." Hyungwon said concerned.

"Hyungwon's right. We'll just have to hide them here." Kihyun huffed and looked to Shownu. He gave an understanding nod.

"So we'll just sit quiet in a room like some kids in your basement?" Ahli gave a nervous laugh.
