6. Inner Thoughts

We spent a few hours in the rehearsal room fooling around with the members. It was still unbelievable to me and Alhi that we were in the same rehearsal room that they've shot so many dance practice and behind the scenes videos. We were in a corner of the room next to the sound system, letting a playlist randomly play. A few English songs, songs from other groups, and every once in awhile, one of their songs would play.

Ahli and I were not dancers in any way, she took some classes when she was younger and I just danced for fun, but Monsta X's songs always managed to get us moving, especially their title tracks. The first song of theirs to play was Shoot Out, coincidentally the song that got me into them. They didn't really mind it as they mainly talked among themselves, but I secretly did the iconic earthquake move. I saw Ahli did too as she sat next to me in the corner of my eye. I gave a knowing grin to them.

"Hey! They're doing the vibrating move!" Changkyun teasingly yelled while shoving a pointed finger at us. I showed dumbfounded look in response and Ahli let out a quiet gasp.

"No, no I was stretching my back! I have scoliosis!" I yelled with a sneaky laugh at the end. That was only a half lie, "Ahli was definitely doing it though." I sneered.

They gave a betrayed gasp and exclaimed to me, "No, no, no! Traitor!" They playfully punched my side.

"Uh uh, now you have to dance the rest." Jooheon butted in, "Do you know the point dance?" He asked to both of us.

As revenge, Ahli talked first and pointed to me, "Abel really likes doing that one."

I whined, "So do you!"

"Wonho can teach you, he's really good at that dance." Jooheon placed a hand on his shoulder giving him a little shake. Wonho looked up from his snack with big eyes, unaware of what Jooheon was telling him.

"I am?"

"Yes! Now c'mon get up we'll teach you both!" Jooheon started to stand himself up and Wonho followed in suit.

"I mean, alright but I'm not that good at it." I sat up from where I was crouched on the floor. Ahli was playing pushing me forward and hopping a little behind me.

We all got up to get in front of the big mirrors in the room. The song got to the beginning raps from Jooheon and Changkyun. They calmly did their moves while we watched excitedly, seeing them do their dance up close was fun. After Wonho's part, Minhyuk and Hyungwon took center, and Minhyuk mischievously grabbed a fistful of Hyungwon's shirt. He let out a small yelp in response and it got a smile out of us. 

We got closer to the chorus, and Jooheon yelled, "You need to get into Shownu and Kihyun's places!"

Ahli gave me push forward and I panicked ran forward Kihyun's spot while Ahli followed to Shownu's. Rather ironic since she was shorter than me. My timing was just a bit off since I got there late, but dancing in front of a mirror helped me get in more control a lot more. Wonho really went for the body roll while me and Ahli toned it down just to be safe. At the very last 'shoot out' we were in such good synchronization I had to jump out because of how good we looked. I let out a squealing sound as my body just hopped with joy and was trying to cover my face and mouth. I didn't think my actual smile was that flattering.

Ahli stayed to do the head tilt move with Wonho but because of my freakout some the members pulled back. I heard some laughter come from behind me and as I bounced away and I felt someone's arms wrap around me.

"Wahh, you did so good! I'm so suprised!" I heard Minhyuk's voice cheer right above my head. He was jumping up and down with me and practically shaking my body. I giggled with him and I felt heat rise to my cheeks.
