9. Back To The Dorm

"Are you, y'know, okay?" I asked Shownu in the passenger seat.

His brows furrowed in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"Well, it looked like that fight with that other wolf was pretty serious." I muttered.

"Oh, us werewolves have thick skin. We can get into intense fights and walk away easily. I'll be okay." He gave me a reassuring smile at the end.

We drove back to the street where I separated with Minhyuk. As we turned into the street, I could see Changkyun kneeling in front of Minhyuk, who was seated leaning against a wall, with Jooheon standing over them. My heart dropped at the sight. 

As soon as Shownu parked the car off to the side of the street, I unbuckled myself and sprung out of the car.

"Minhyuk!" I ran to his side, his eyes blinking open when he heard me, "Oh my gosh, are you okay?!" 

He adjusted himself to sit upright, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired, those wolves really went for my neck there." He ended with an awkward chuckle.

"He's not hurt, but those werewolves were vicious. We fought them off and I tried chasing them, but they got away. They were a lot more coordinated than a normal pack." Jooheon added. He offered an arm to Minhyuk to help him to his feet, which he took.

I pressed a hand to his back as he stood up, worried he'd fall over from exhaustion, but he stood planted. I heard Shownu walk up behind us from the other car.

"I didn't recognize that wolf that was chasing down Abel. I'm guessing neither could you as well." He said. Changkyun and Jooheon gave a nod.

"They wanted to kill me, that's a definite. I'm not sure why, but not all werewolves like vampires." Minhyuk said as he dusted himself off. He wasn't bleeding, I'm not sure if vampires could bleed, but he wasn't injured. His clothes only had rips and tears in a few places and dirt.

"The thing that's confusing is why they wanted Abel." Shownu looked to me and spoke, "Minhyuk told us the lady you met in the bathroom at Starship. If she's one of them, it doesn't make sense why they'd want you."

"We'll need to be on edge when we get to the building today, investigate around. What did the woman look like?" Changkyun asked me.

I paused, trying to remember, "I'm guessing she's around Shownu's age, she was a little shorter than me, and long brown hair. It was almost to her waist. And... her eyes..." I remembered how they made me shake. That brown wolf with the black face had those same eyes.

My head snapped up to all of them, "I think that brown wolf was her. They have the same eyes. These gold ones that'd make me freeze up." I said feeling a shiver climb up my back from just remembering.

"Alright, we'll need to keep an eye out for her. Let's get you back to the dorm and some new clothes for Minhyuk." Shownu teased, slapping Minhyuk's shoulder. 

We separated into the cars we each arrived in. When Minhyuk and I got back into the car, we fell into the seats, completely spent.

"I don't think I've ever ran that fast in my life. Werewolves are on another level." I chuckled. Minhyuk returned it with a scoff.

"Going head to head with one is hard enough, but two? I can't even read their minds, so it was really hard keeping my head on my shoulders." He leaned forward to put the key into the ignition and started up the car.

"You can't read their minds?" I questioned.

"Nope, not when they're in that form. I can't even read the rest of the members' minds in their wolf forms. I'm not sure why." His eyes flicked down to my legs, eyes boring into where I scraped my knee.
