A few days had passed since Minhyuk attacked Kihyun. They haven't spoken to each other much since then aside from when they needed to. Everyone was aware of the tension between the two, but it was up to the two to deal with it. In Shownu's words: "They're grown men and they've had their disagreements in the past. They'll work it out like they always do."
I agreed with him but I couldn't help but feel responsible for their fight. I should've told Kihyun I didn't want to hear Minhyuk's past, but my curiosity got the better of me. While I'm appreciate of his worry for my safety, I wish it wasn't at the cost of his relationship with the other members.
I had tried to approach him to talk, but Ahli told me that I had nothing to apologize for. They had almost never talked to Minhyuk since the attack, but I still heard them out. Their reasoning was because he was telling things he didn't have the permission to. I agreed with them, but it didn't stop the guilt piling up in my chest.
One day, I spoke to him while he was searching for clues behind the lanyard Shownu took from one of the vampire hunters. I tried to have a small conversation with him, but he was very distant.
"Any progress on the lanyard?" I asked to him, leaning on the door frame to his, Jooheon, and Shownu's room.
He didn't turn around to speak to me, but kept tapping away at his laptop on his bed with the lanyard laid next to it, "Not much." He said curtly.
I chewed on my cheek in thought before speaking, "Well... when I think of lanyard I think of doctors or nurses. Maybe they have some day job to cover what they usually do, like veterinarians."
He didn't respond.
"That's kind of funny to think of, werewolf veterinarians." I sheepishly said, trying to lighten the conversation.
"It'd be a weird looking lanyard for a veterinarian don't you think? There's no id here." He said gesturing to the pitch black card on the end of it.
"Oh... yeah you have a point there." I stood there for a moment, unsure of what to say, "Is there anyway I can help you?"
"No, I got it." He simply said. Sensing he wanted to be alone, I left with a shy nod.
Eventually, everyone was affected by the tense atmosphere. Even Shownu became frustrated, and it takes a lot for him to get ticked off.
He suggested we all took a little 'day off'. We all brainstormed together without Minhyuk and Kihyun, since we suspected they wouldn't be up for it, and came up with... Lotte World.
Lotte World, the famous amusement park of Seoul, was originally on Ahli and I's list of places we would visit in Korea. We even pre-bought out tickets before flying to Korea because we were so eager to go. It wasn't like we've never been to an amusement park, but that so many groups have been there before and our love for thrilling ridies. Ahli suggested it since it would be a waste of our money not to go. We all weren't that worried about the vampire hunters, as we haven't bumped into them since Shownu and Ahli did. We were still going to be cautious and form a buddy system.
It was a Tuesday. We had to pick a slower day for the sake of the boys having less of a chance being noticed, but fortunately it meant smaller lines to wait through. Shownu worked it out with their managers, with the excuse of "We'll film privately for a vlog." When we had no intention of filming and would just excuse ourselves with "All the video files didn't save."
We had all got packed into two cars with snacks and other essentials, all without telling Minhyuk and Kihyun. We all acted like we had no idea what was going on except for the drivers, Hyungwon and Wonho. Me and Ahli were in Hyungwon's car, for their sake, with Minhyuk and Jooheon. I made sure to whisper to Ahli before we got into the car to call shotgun.
