HONKAI IMPACT 13TH

Prologue

Even though the exterior of the Earth looks peaceful, disaster is lurking within. That disaster is referred to as Honkai. The "Honkai'' is a mysterious and intangible force that has existed since the dawn of civilization and is manifested in the form of disease, plague, natural disasters, etc. Honkai, which is called collapse, will produce energy that mutates the human body. This energy is called honkai energy.

Human beings infected by the honkai have turned into "zombies," without thought or emotion. In addition, these are accompanied by the "honkai beasts" born from the collapse, which pose a huge threat to the world.

Located in the extreme east of the nation of Japan, Nagazora is a trade center, gathering elites from all over the world and being one of the most important economic, financial, and technological centers in the world.

As a rising star city in the early 21st century, Nagazora City has become an important place for investment and development of large international enterprises and consortia.

In addition, this city is where some of the world's best scientists, doctors, and mechanics can be found. To become one of the educational institutions in the city that cover all levels, from pre-school education to high-tech specialized institutions. There are a total of six well-known high schools, ten universities, and various scientific research institutions. Kevin and Dr. Mei attended the Senba Academy, which is one of the schools where three hundred students and teachers are based. Their city life is peaceful until the 3rd honkai shows up.

In 2014 when the 3rd honkai eruption took place, people rushed to shelters screaming for help and crying in the midst of loud explosions and sirens. Kevin and Dr. Mei tried to escape the city, but a man dressed in black stopped them and said that he is the bodyguard of De. Mei hired by her father. He invited Dr.Mei to join the "The Moth Who chased the Flames" organization, which is a united national task to fight against honkai. Before the 3rd honkai eruption started, Mei had published papers on her quantum mechanics theory. Her papers impressed the organization so much that they wanted her to join them. Dr.Mei decided to join them and Kevin also volunteered to join as a soldier refusing to be separated from her.

Kevin started training to be a soldier in the moth base, and the scientists invited Dr. Mei to their lab. In conversation with Dr. Mei, they told her about a great project on fighting the honkai and saw something that found interesting. 'Project Control' enables honkai beasts to be controlled by the human race. At the lab, she observed a huge egg similar to the size of a bell tower. They said that they found it in an ancient cage, not telling her anymore. They hoped to control the beast inside and make it fight for humanity. To make the project succeed Dr.Mei decided to cooperate.

In MOTH base two years later, Dr. Mei discovered a way to harness honkai energy and set out to begin the process of hatching an egg. 5 months later the egg showed a sign of hatching. All scientists watch from afar and soldiers pointed their guns at the egg, Dr. Mei also observed the egg hatching and thought what creature would emerge from it. When the egg breaks, the water flows out from the egg and what appears is not a honkai beast but a young child. The organization feels disappointed and wants to know what he is. Dr. Mei asks them to send him to a medical center in an attempt to help him. They rejected her because of the unknown danger and sent him to a locked transparent room. Until this boy awoke, no one would realize that the gears of fate are started to change because of him.
